Celebrating the reopening of the Leeton Roxy Community Theatre last night was a moment of immense pride for myself and many Leetorians. This achievement reflects the dedication and collaboration of numerous individuals and organizations.

Their professionalism, along with the expertise of 47 different trades (mostly local), has brought this precious building back to life.
Leeton Shire Council and Councillors: Your unwavering vision and commitment have ensured the Roxy is fit for generations to come. Without your persistence in securing funding and dedication to its future, this achievement would not have been possible.
Government Support: We deeply appreciate the NSW Government's contribution of $6.2 million and the Australian Government's $1 million commitment. This substantial support demonstrates a strong belief in regional talent and a commitment to nurturing arts and culture in regional NSW.
Roxy Redevelopment Committee: A heartfelt thank you to this inspiring steering committee of volunteers who remained 100% committed, enduring years of challenges without ever losing sight of the vision for our Roxy Community Theatre.
"The Dream Team" Volunteers: To the 88 (and growing) volunteers, aptly dubbed "The Dream Team" by their passionate leader and coordinator, Sue Gavel —a standing ovation to you all. Your dedication in preparing the Roxy for its first appearance in seven years, through the Community First Program and now the grand opening, is absolutely phenomenal.
Community First Program and Gala Concert Performers: Words cannot express our gratitude and amazement for all those involved in the Community First Program and last night's Gala Concert Grand Reopening performances.
Emma Di'Mousio: The wealth of experience and knowledge from Leeton Shire Council's Emma Di'Mousio as producer of the Community First Program and the Gala Concert Grand Reopening is astonishing. Her commitment to every detail and the hours devoted are truly inspiring.
Director Jake Speer: We are particularly grateful for the expertise of Director Jake Speer. Jake was not just here to create amazing performances; he was an integral part of the redevelopment committee, providing invaluable advice and experience to achieve the best possible outcome. His performance last night was phenomenal, bringing the Roxy's history and new beginnings to life.
I have always been proud to showcase our grand Leeton Community Roxy Theatre to family and friends. Now, thanks to the commitment and dedication of the people mentioned above, we can all do so in new and exciting ways.
