Heathermoor Peonies A family run business supplying peonies as cut flowers for weddings and special events.

Located at Latrobe in Tasmania's northwest, we grow beautiful shades of pink and white peonies for your wedding, party or special event. As these lovely plants only flower for 2-3 weeks of the year, we can supply peonies from mid November until early December. We are always happy to have a chat to you, so please contact us with any questions or enquiries.

We know you are all eagerly waiting to get your hands on some peonies and so here's today's update:

Do we have *some* blooms - yes! (finally)
Are there enough to open the paddock tomorrow 23/11 - unfortunately not 😭
Have we started gate sales - yes 🌸🌸
Will we opening both Saturday and Sunday next weekend (29th & 30th) - yes! 10am-3pm both days
Are these delays causing us much stress and anxiety - full disclosure, yes they are. This season has definitely been a ride with delays to blooming like we have never seen before.
Thank you to all for their patience so far, we really appreciate you understanding and kindness.

**PYO DATE CHANGE**

We were wrong, and the weather has been far cooler than expected. There are going to be very few flowers this weekend so we have postponed Sunday's PYO day (16/11/25).
Hoping that with the cooler temps the flowers will allow us to now open 23/11 and 30/11

Apologies for any disappointment, we are very keen to see some more sunshine to hurry these plants along. This is definitely the latest season we have had in at least 10 years!

Hi there,

Another year gone and here we are preparing for our peonies to do their *glorious* thing. The shed is being unpacked, buckets unstacked, secateurs sharpened and the rubber bands (sooo many rubber bands) readied. We are also getting back to the very keen ones of you counting down and wondering what our plans are in 2025. No major changes this season - you'll still be able to find our gorgeous peonies in our Farm Gate Stand, at our Pick Your Own days and we are planning to return to Harvest Launceston as well.

Currently we are playing the annual guessing game to predict Tassie's spring weather and setting our dates to open. If you haven't noticed the cooler, cloudier and windier weather this spring (esp. compared to 2023 & 2024) that's ok, but our peonies certainly have! Things are currently tracking about a week behind the last two springs. from this, our current plans are:

*Farm Gate Stand* expected to open mid-November

*Peony Pick Your Own Days* planned for 16th and 23rd November - PLEASE FIND OUR EVENT AND READ DESCRIPTION

*Harvest Launceston* we will update you when we confirm dates with the team there.

If you have any questions, please reach out and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

As the 2024 peony season rolls to a close at Heathermoor, we are incredibly grateful for your support this season.

The paddock has bloomed and the last bunches sold from our little farm-gate stand this afternoon. For now, we have a little time to focus inward before the invisible work of supporting our plants through summer and autumn begins. Then they will rest for winter, ready to do it all again in 2025.

Thank you for the support and love this season, from our family to you, it has meant so much.

We've decided to open up the gates tomorrow evening for a spontaneous twilight Pick Your Own session.

Details:

Picking entry (max 15 stems per entry) - $20
Non-picking adult - $5
Non-picking child (17 and under) - FREE
Secateurs will be available to purchase on the day if required.
Cash and Eftpos payment welcome

Requirements of Entry:
~ You are welcome to bring your own secateurs, however they will need to be sprayed with a supplied sanitiser for farm hygiene practices prior to entry 💦✂️
~All vehicles to be parked in the designated, signed parking areas 🪧🚗🚙
~ Payment is required prior to entry
~ Unfortunately there are NO toilets available at the peony patch
~ Please consider your footwear as this is a paddock. Flat, sturdy shoes are best! 👟👟
~ It is highly likely there will be bees present in the peony patch in low numbers 🐝
~ Unfortunately dogs are not permitted under any circumstances, INCLUDING in the carpark area. Please respect that this is a working farm and all dogs must be kept inside your vehicle whilst on the Heathermoor Property. (*Exception only to certified assistance dogs).
