As many of you know I’m undergoing treatment for Acute Myeloid Leukaemia after 3 lots of disease modifying treatments (chemo) and 6 bone marrow tests it’s slowly coming down which is good ! But I have a rare genetic flaw which will be written up in medical journals . Top Haematologist and Genetic Drs have never seen this type before or reations to normal therapy. My body will not accept normal platelets so I have to get the Bollinger variety which are rare, mine are being flown in from Western Australia tonight without these I could die if I got the slightest bug as my white-platelets for the last week or 2 have been 4,3,4,5,3 etc , they should be well over 100, so at the moment in kit gloves and back in hospital. I’m writing this because it’s my birthday next month 23 April ,big 65,and for my present I want everyone that knows me , family , friend or other to give blood and platlets cause you could save someone’s life like the person in WA is doing for me .
