It was an honour to work with Tweed Escapes to create a gorgeous hens celebration for these flood impacted ladies. HUGE thank you to our stylist Rhani who pulled together the entire picnic setup and food, on her own, at such short notice.
The Blue Ginger Picnics team would like to acknowledge the very generous Mary Bosanac who sponsored this celebration. Mary's heartfelt generosity and desire to help strangers in need is phenomenal.
Special thanks to all our amazing suppliers that grow, make and create such delicious produce for us to share with our guests.

WINNING SILVER AT QANTAS AUSTRALIAN TOURISM AWARDS
Blue Ginger Picnics, an innovative tourism venture founded by local entrepreneur,Tania Usher, showcases The Tweed’s individuality by creating elegant outdoor dining experiences that tell the story of the region’s stunning locations, rich indigenous and historical culture, local businesses and delicious fresh produce.
Tania says she took a quintessential Australian activity, picnicking, and incorporated the elegance and glamour of its historical French roots.
“We then added 100% local produce and eliminated the use of any plastics or disposables to create memorable experiences that highlight the natural beauty, food and talented artisans of our region”.
Whether guests are celebrating an anniversary, birthday, proposal, elopement or ladies lunch, Tania says that every story inspires the company to create meaningful experiences that enable guests to reconnect with nature, the food they eat and each other.
“Our guests’ special celebrations are the reason we exist. We aim to take moments that are often gone in a flash and turn them into cherished memories,” says Tania.
Collaborating with like-minded local businesses has enabled the startup to grow a loyal and supportive group of suppliers, mentors and clients.
“This support nurtures our philosophy that we all succeed when we help others achieve their goals,” says Tania.
Winning Gold at the NSW Tourism Awards, then going on to win Silver at the Qantas Australian Tourism Awards, the NSW Business Chamber says they are proud to have tourism operators like Blue Ginger Picnics who create and maintain high standards of operation that visitors to NSW can enjoy.
Daniel Gschwind, Chair of the Australian Tourism Awards, congratulated Blue Ginger Picnics and the other finalists from across Australia.
“To reach the finalists stage of the Australian Tourism Awards is a great honour in itself…The winners truly are the best of the best, with a lot of strong competition across all categories,” he said.
