Our skewers are very popular on our skewer and slider menu. They are 100g and very filling, usually served later in the evening.

We often hear from guests, we are so full, can't possibly eat anymore, which is great as we have done our job but a shame as they don't get to enjoy some amazing food.

So, we have decided to make a mini version of our skewers and added a few new flavours as an alternative to what we already offer.

These will be added to our menus moving forward with new american bbq beef and gyros chicken added to our already delicious lamb backstraps, satay chicken, honey soy chicken and garlic prawns.

Looking forward to serving some mini skewers to you soon!

We had a family birthday catch up yesterday, and my girls specifically asked for my ham and cheese croquettes.

They’re always a hit - creamy mashed potato mixed with triple smoked ham and gooey cheese, crumbed and fried to golden perfection. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside.

They’re one of those crowd pleasers that disappear as soon as they hit the table. I’ve served them at a few functions before, and they always get rave reviews, but some how they still fly under the radar on most catering menus.

Honestly, I wish they were ordered more often, comfort food at its finest!!

Jim and Britt’s January wedding at .hill in Merrijig was a stunning, intimate celebration.

With drinks flowing and a generous grazing board to welcome guests, the evening carried into relaxed canapés and heartfelt moments.

We’re grateful to have been part of such a special day - thank you for choosing us to cater your wedding.

To wrap up our Autumn Harvest three course lunch, we served individual plates of sticky date pudding with warm caramel sauce, apple lattice pie with double cream, and rich chocolate cointreau mousse topped with an orange lindt square - classic comfort desserts for the perfect autumn day.

Behind the scenes, shared menu catering can be a whirlwind, but my team always pulls it off with skill and heart.

I'm incredibly grateful for this team and what we achieved for the guests who attended this lunch.

We love a feast that brings people together.

Our Autumn Harvest menu celebrated connection, flavour, and the beauty of slowing down.

For mains we served slow cooked lamb shoulder with Sedona Shiraz wine jus, duck fat potatoes, roasted carrots, and beets.

What a relaxed afternoon at with capturing every moment for us.

An Autumn Feast to remember!

Golden leaves, live acoustic music, and a long table harvest picnic lunch in the heart of the Yarra Valley.

The My Little Country Kitchen team served up a seasonal feast at this month.

We couldn't have asked for a better day weather wise and a better team to bring together the 3 course shared feast that went all afternoon.

Our crispy duck wonton cups were one of the entrees served as part of the first course.

We will be sharing more photos of this event over the coming week.

Thank you to Aria Photography for capturing this event for us.

We had the pleasure of catering a 3 course lunch to celebrate the Autumn Harvest at Sedona Estate.

The tables were beautifully set and decorated by Sonja, and the guests enjoyed Amie's beautiful voice.

More photos to come.

We work in some beautiful locations, and Forest Weddings is no exception!

We had the pleasure of catering Harrison and Lori's wedding on Saturday.

They enjoyed our rustic grazing boards before the ceremony, roaming canapes, and then sat down to a shared meal with their family and friends.

What a celebration 🤍

Ange is a quiet achiever and had an amazing few years in business. 2017-2018 saw her receive 6 silver and 2 bronze medals for her gourmet sausage rolls and spinach feta rolls, an achievement she is very proud of.

Also in 2018 she was a Top 3 finalist in the Women In Food Service Awards - Outstanding Service category. With over 500 entries this was quite an honour - a small home based business from Kinglake West in the top 3!
