As of next month, April 2026, I am permanently retiring as a marriage celebrant. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the couples whom I have married, as well as all the families who have entrusted me with the celebration of the life of their loved ones, for the past 13 odd years ...

Over those years I have officiated at approximately 800 ceremonies, a wonderful privilege indeed.

This post is, in effect, my last one, before this page is permanently closed. Mind you, I am still available for funerals, naming ceremonies, renewal of vows and commitment ceremonies. I am also still a Justice of the Peace (Qld.)

Going forward, God willing, my husband and I will be selling our home, downsizing to North Ward in Townsville, and travelling extensively, either overseas or throughout Australia. We are so looking forward to this next chapter in our lives.

Again, from the bottom of my heart, thank you all, and God bless ...

I would like to advise all past and prospective couples that, effective immediately, and for most of 2026, I will be unavailable for ceremonies.

2026 is a year of new beginnings and discovery for me and hubby... we are selling our house (and decluttering!!!), downsizing and, finally, travelling extensively, locally and overseas. As such, I am keeping my marriage calendar closed for most of 2026 and will advise when I will be available again.

Thank you to all the wonderful couples who have allowed me the privilege of being their celebrant for the past 10+ years; it means a lot. I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone all the very best for the upcoming festive season and a safe and happy 2026 …

It was a real privilege officiating at the marriage ceremony of my nephew Jason, and his stunning bride Rosanna, at Avalon Castle in Victoria, with their children, Leandro and Eli, being very much a part of this special occasion ...

The day was sunny and warm, unlike the usual Melbourne weather, and, frankly, we could not have wished for better weather.

Welcome to the family Rosanna and, to the newlyweds, I wish you nothing but the very best for your future together.

Matthew and Charlene initially met when they were just 12 and 11 years old respectively, whilst camping with family at Fletcher Creek. 6 years later, in 2008, they met again, AT THE SAME PLACE ... SERENDIPITY!!! It was then that they both felt a spark. Not long afterwards, they realised that their connection was true and strong. Since then, they have not looked back.

And now, 4 children later, they are celebrating their marriage under a magnificent Rain Tree, in one of Townsville’s most iconic parks, Queens Gardens … It was an emotional ceremony, full of laughs and special moments that will never be forgotten.

Best wishes for the future to the newlyweds and their family …

Aaron and Shaen first connected via Instagram. When Aaron went to Adelaide to meet Shaen, something happened; soon, they were head over heels in love ...

Shaen made the move to Townsville to be with Aaron and, from that moment in time, they have not looked back. And now, 3 cherished children and 2 furry babies later, they are starting a new chapter in their lives. All the best for the future to the newlyweds and their beautiful family ♥️

Ray and Malou exchanged vows in their stunning backyard, surrounded by all of their loved ones, as well as their blended family of 8 children. Love was definitely in the air ... I wish the couple happiness always.

Paddy and Danica's ceremony was held in my favourite botanical garden, Anderson Park. It was intimate and emotional, with only a few friends and the couple's witnesses.

Paddy is British and Danica is from the Philippines. Their connection is indeed without par, having survived a long-distance relationship during the pandemic. They are so suited to each other and, undoubtedly, they are best friends who share a wonderful sense of humour …

Their love for each other is true and strong and, during their journey, they have watched each other grow in so many ways. Life has surely brought them wonderful blessings and difficult challenges and, together, they have appreciated and surmounted all of them.

They are truly a special couple. Happiness always Paddy and Danica ♥️

T & N celebrated their commitment a couple of years ago surrounded by their loved ones; all that was needed were the "official bits".

And here they are, around their dining table, in front of their witnesses, and their much-cherished cats, taking care of the legalities. Casual vibes were the order of the day...

The emotions were evident as they finally became husband and wife. Happiness always to the couple 🙂
