With more than 300 artists and arts organisations taking part, today is also about celebrating the work of artists, educators, performers and creators - the people who keep creativity alive in our communities.

At WollCon, we’re proud to be part of that story. Every day we see how music connects, inspires and transforms our students. From our youngest beginners to lifelong learners, creativity is at the heart of everything we do.

We are proud to share that David Rodriguez-Lovibond, our Jazz and Contemporary Program Lead, will be heading to Johannesburg to take part in the inaugural African SongHubs, an international songwriting program bringing together artists from across Africa, Australia, and Aotearoa New Zealand.

Our Ballet Workshops Australia (BWA) session is on again today.
That’s the lovely Hannah Nash in the video teaching contemporary dance, the young man is Griffin, and Tilly on the right has been doing workshops with BWA since she was about nine years old. She has come all the way from Armidale! Welcome to WollCon.

Wollcon Symphonic Band performed at The Music Lounge on Monday evening for our end of term BAND SHOWCASE. The event featured Junior Band, Concert Band and Symphonic Band. Congratulations to all students and thank you to our Band Program teachers Suzanne Cowan, Jenn Cook and David Rooney.
