“OK. So a bit about myself…… I could go on and on about my photographic journey (I’ll put it down below if you are interested to know). But I think it is important for you to know a bit about me as a person first, as you will be spending a lot of time with me on your special day.
Well, first thing is that I am totally committed to artistic direction and absolutely love trying new things in the realm of photography and videography. I am always seeking to improve and adapt. My “style” is very photojournalistic, but I absolutely love earthy and rustic tones in my photography. It’s just my thing….perhaps because Autumn is my favourite season.
I love working with people who are a little bit awkward in front of the camera. I see this as my job to put them at ease and let them shine.
I am an absolute coffee fiend, and this could be the reason for my over-active mind. Hahaha.
I am always ready to meet new clients and if you mention that coffee may be involved, say no more!
Don’t let the tattoos fool you, I will be the one who will pick up your dress so it doesn’t get dirty, take the leaves out of your hair and make you laugh. Oh and I have a knack with getting grooms to pose nicely for their photos (even though most grooms absolutely HATE getting their photo taken).

Yep. You read that correctly. My photographic journey started with a used Hanimex XP2 camera that my mother purchased from a thrift shop for $3.50 back in the late 80’s.
I LOVED that camera. I loved the feel of it, the strange winding noise it would make as the film rolled through it, and of course the sound of the flash heating up between shots.
Nobody in my family was into photography, it was just something that I learnt myself. A large portion of my family are artists, so perhaps that’s where I get it from. I loved the idea that I could stop time, and freeze people in a moment. But above all, I loved that I could tell a story with these images - that they actually meant something and weren’t just a picture that is stored in some virtual cloud somewhere.
Fast forward many years later (yep….many) and here we are in the world of digital cameras. I travel the country, with my Sony camera gear in my backpack, being that photography guys that captures your photo in its rawest form. I am the type of photographer that will absolutely deliver you a photo of you laughing so hard there are tears on your cheeks or a photo of your beauty in its natural form (because you are beautiful with your “flaws”). I won’t deliver a photo of you looking plainly at the camera, because lets face it….thats boring!
I know that the most random and unexpected photos are the ones that get treasured the most.
