On the dividing bench today - one of my favourite sunshine-y dahlias, Rokewood Dawn.
Out of curiosity, I popped the tuber photo up on stories today asking which of the three tuber sizes everyone preferred. Most people chose the middle sized tuber.
For planting out in the garden, my preferred tuber is the smallest one! Smaller tubers tend to get going more quickly as they don't have much of a food store. Bigger tubers are great for taking cuttings as they have a larger food store. The middle sized tuber is a good all-rounder.
All that being said - it doesn't matter what sized tuber you plant, you'll still get beautiful blooms!
