Hi all, Last Tuesday night was the subject of 'Long Exposure'. My prints, 'Soothing Waters' & 'Citystream' both received Honours and my Digital Prints 'Sweet Berries' received an Honour but my 'Tranquil Waters' received an acceptance. I believe my composition wasn't to the liking of the judge as he required me to move further to the right but unfortunately I could not go any further to the right of that stream. Overall a great result for the night.

Thought these clouds look pretty dramatic coming home today. Stopped to take a couple shots although it must have been further toward Brisbane as not a drop of rain here at present.

I stopped at Hamon Cove on the way home from the Bunya Mountains. I saw a group of the Great Crested Grebe and was lucky to see a couple break away from the group and come a little closer. I also saw a few sweet little superb fairywrens, an egret, pelican, cormorant and whistling kite. Not bad for a quick stop.

Love this little Brown Thornbill I snapped at the Bunya Mountains. In the second pic he had a quick look at me before fleeting off on his way. 🥰🤎

Hi all, Some birds from the Bunya Mountains include Brown Thornbill, Currawong, Kookaburra, cockatoo, crimson rosella, Eastern Yellow Robin, female fairywren. I will upload further images into an album on further rainforest and other wildlife as I have quite a few to peruse. Amazing sky this afternoon. By the time it was sunset the clouds were joining back together again so no pop of colour but wow this afternoon was crazy. 💙💙💙

Hi all, A couple of days ago I headed up to the Bunya Mountains and had a nice couple days with club, Ipswich Photographic Society. A few images from our view from Fisher Lookout and some from our rainforest walks. Hope you enjoy. More to come.

Milky Way from the Bunya Mountains! ✨

Hi all, I've been away a couple days in the Bunya Mountains with my club. We enjoyed some rainforest walks, saw wildlife and birds and did some astrophotography. The wind on Fisher Lookout was bitterly cold upon doing a sunset one afternoon and the night's were very cold but a few of us braved the weather to get some night skies. First image is what is called a 'Startrail'. This image has 80 images at 33 sec per image. Interesting final image although I do like the single images of the sky. We had beautiful clear skies over the two nights.
