Rachel is the former Marketing and Events Manager at Ipswich City Square and the Nicholas Street Precinct, for Knight Frank and Ipswich City Council (2013 to 2021). She is the creator of:
Kitsch in the Swich - Retro and Rockabilly Fashion Fiesta (2013-2019) which attracted around 5000 attendees per event,
Food Fair in the Square (2016-2018) which attracted up to 10 000 attendees each month,
The
annual Ipswich Battle of the Bands (2014-2016),
Swich Summer Sounds music festival (2021),
The Nicholas Street Precinct official opening (2020) and
Innumerable school holiday and Christmas events and activities in the Ipswich CBD. Rachel is now hosting the daily Drive show on West Bremer Radio. She has a finger on the pulse of Ipswich City and can tap into an incredible network of local community members, business owners, government reps, creatives, artists and musicians. Jules brings her extensive experience in end-to-end project management and delivery in her 30 year career in both the RAAF and the RSPCA. She has high-level industry experience in people management, procurement, financial planning and more. Jules is the 'spreadsheet nerd' to Rach's creative visions. Jules and Rach are proud Ipswich locals, having lived and worked in the city for more than 20 years. They met here, raised their son here and married here. They are passionate about Ipswich, about celebrating the achievements of the LGBTQIA+ community and about shining a light on the struggles still faced by many of its members.
