High Tea is back at The Larder with three dates to choose from:
🌸 Tuesday 20 October · $59pp
🌸 Sunday 22 November · $59pp
Store-made pastries, cakes, finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones with jam & cream, a non-alcoholic mimosa on arrival and unlimited tea or coffee.

🥂 Tuesday 15 December · Festive High Tea · $64pp
The full spread plus a glass of sparkling on arrival. Mimosas, sparkling w**e and espresso martinis available at bar prices.

Here’s a peek at two ways to start your day on our new Spring Menu.

One more subtle, the other is anything but.

Swipe one is a gentle spring morning.
Whipped thyme ricotta on toasted light rye, marinated heirloom tomatoes, quick pickled shallots, baby basil and aged balsamic.

Swipe two is a wake up call.
A Korean rolled omelette with spiced nduja, charred capsicum, spring onion and spinach, finished with kimchi and a gochujang aioli.

Both new on the breakfast menu. 8am to 11.45am.

Tomorrow is R U OK? Day, and we’ve got cupcakes.

Grab one for $3, or two for $5, and 100% of every dollar goes straight to R U OK?

It’s a small thing, but it’s for a big one. R U OK? Day is about checking in on the people around you and asking, properly, how they’re going. So come in tomorrow, grab a coffee and a cupcake, and bring a mate with you. Or take one to someone who might need it.

It’s ok to not be ok. And it’s always ok to ask.

Up early? So are we.

Our sister store Allpress Espresso + Scrumptious Food is closed for a couple of weeks while it gets the facelift it’s been quietly asking for. So we’re opening early and pouring from 6am for as long as the builders are in.

Tradies, dog walkers, early swimmers, anyone who’s up before the rest of town; machine’s on and we’re ready to make your morning a little warmer.

The best thing about working at The Larder is the people you’ll be working with.

Our crew are fabulous, and we need one more. (Also, our owner Wes runs three businesses and is currently trying to be in all of them at once. We’ve explained that this isn’t possible. He remains optimistic.😉)

So: we’re hiring another full-time barista.

Here’s what you’d be walking into. The Larder crew know the regulars by name and by order. They cover each other when we’re flat out. There’s a lot of laughing back there, and the standards are high because everyone actually cares, not because anyone’s shouting.

You’ll be at home on a busy machine. Dialling in as the day shift about. Pouring beautifully with a queue three deep and providing warm, friendly customer service.

Coffee’s the main event, but you’ll also have a say in seasonal specials, keep the bench and stock in order, and help the café tick along day to day.

What a wonderful afternoon!

Last week’s afternoon tea at The Larder was a great success. Tiered stands piled high, cups full, and a room full of people enjoying good food and even better company. Thank you to everyone who came along and made the afternoon what it was, and to our lovely team for looking after everyone so beautifully.

The feedback has been glowing (see for yourself above!), so we’re already looking forward to running more.
