In Chinese instead of Happy New Year we say 'Gong Xi Fa Cai' or 'Gong Hey Fat Choy', which literally means 'Congratulations and be prosperous'

That's why you often see people handing out 'hong bao' - the red envelops to each other.

This 'hong bao' tree full of red envelops and red lanterns was created by us at the centre of Westfield Hurstville.
