In short… I’m working as a funeral celebrant now 💛
(And yes, I still do weddings)
In detail… last year was huge for me, there were many endings, and those transitions created space for me to pursue a career I’d been interested in since qualifying as a Celebrant in 2018. Funerals.
So earlier this year, I officiated my first funeral service, and thanks to the support of some wonderful funeral directors in Hobart, I’ve been welcomed and trusted to work with many families since then, to honour their loved ones.
How I can help you:
I invite your questions about funeral planning (your own or someone you care about). If you are willing to think about it in advance, all the better. Following a loss, there are often emotional responses that can make decision making tougher. Thinking about funeral homes, costs, and what to include in the service can feel overwhelming while you’re also coming to terms with grief.
How you can help me:
When you’re meeting with your chosen funeral director, and they ask you which celebrant you’d like to use, please ask them to give me a call. I work with Millingtons, Graham Family, Simplicity and Turnbulls.
Like weddings, funerals allow me the privilege to be part of one of the most important and meaningful days for the people involved. It’s a responsibility I dont take lightly.
