🔥 WHAT A DAY AT THE PRAIRIE RACES! 🐎

After cooking for 500 people in the heat, the boots are off and these two camp oven cooks are done! 😂🔥

A huge thank you to the Prairie Jockey Club for inviting us along to cook at such a great country event, and to The Angus Girls and Jakhan for all their hard work selling tickets and serving meals. ❤️

We saw plenty of empty plates and got some great compliments — and that’s what makes all the heat, hard work and long hours worth it!

Thanks to everyone who grabbed a feed, stopped for a yarn and supported Cooking With Heavy Metal.

Now it’s feet up and time to cool down! 😅

Well what an adventure. Murchison do camp oven muster like no other, outstanding. Murchison shire, committee and all at the settlement should be proud of such a lovely event. We felt both privileged and honored to be invited as star guests to demonstrate, cook and mentor a great group of people. With 65 + camp ovens in action for the long table with many being their first time using one and 20 plus in the scone competition it was exceptional. Kamal cooking up a huge Paella, great coffees, Matt & crew who worked flat out doing an incredible job with the sound all weekend, the working dog demo, regenerative farming with Ian & Di, will definitely be chasing up some Miller & Baker flour, Steph the MC and the finale the beautiful long table dinner. We left on a high knowing WA is in good hands and camp ovens are being loved by many.

What an amazing finale to our weekend at the Murchison Camp Oven Muster!
Tonight's Long Table Dinner was something truly special. More than 66 camp ovens lined the table, each filled with a delicious dish lovingly prepared by fellow campers to share with one another.
From hearty stews and warming soups to roasts and all the trimmings, there was an incredible feast for everyone to enjoy. Great food, great company, plenty of laughs, and the true spirit of camp oven cooking made for a memorable evening.
A wonderful way to finish an unforgettable weekend.
A huge thank you to the Murchison Shire and the entire Murchison community for your incredible hospitality. You made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived and made it very hard to head home. We've made wonderful memories and can't wait to visit again.
Thank you to everyone who cooked, shared, and helped make the Long Table Dinner such a fantastic celebration of camp oven cooking. 🔥🥘❤️
