Hi ,
It’s Rhiannon here with an update on your sponsored puppies, Lyric’s Pack.
Your pups are settling into home life and routine with their puppy carers. They are learning so much and meeting lots of people.
As the pups grow, they're all very inquisitive and have lots of energy! The role of the puppy carer is to teach them good social manners and obedient behaviour.
Puppy carers receive guidance from a puppy development trainer to teach the pups basic obedience, house manners, to walk on lead in a relaxed manner, eat nicely and toilet on command.
Meet Kim, one of our Puppy Development Trainers, and learn more about the early training period for your sponsor puppies.

Your regular gift helps provide everything a pup needs in these early stages of their training.
Puppy carers also socialise the pup in many different places including shopping centres, cinemas, supermarkets and cafes to get them used to all sorts of environments and noises.
Each Seeing Eye Dogs pup is assigned to one volunteer puppy carer and goes to most places their carer goes!
As their training continues, the puppies will become more confident and settled in the world around them and become responsive to cues like ‘sit’ and ‘down’. They will take part in group training sessions with other Seeing Eye Dogs pups and learn, amongst other things, how to not be distracted whilst on the job!
Thank you so much for supporting Lyric’s Pack during these vital stages.
