Did you know that loneliness can have serious impacts on both our physical and mental health?

It affects people of all ages and is linked to increased anxiety, depression, and other health concerns.
But here's the beautiful part: small acts of kindness can make a powerful difference.

As I shared in my chapter in 'Behind the Business: Women who Dared':

"The real heart of Flowers for Jane isn't just in the flowers – it's in the connections I help my customers cherish. I help people celebrate milestones, express love, and offer comfort during life's hardest moments. While I couldn't preserve my own most precious relationships, I found deep meaning in helping others nurture theirs. Looking ahead, my vision for Flowers for Jane extends far beyond a flower delivery service. I see it becoming the heart of connection in our community - the place people turn to when words aren't enough. While I couldn't keep my own family together, perhaps I can help others strengthen theirs, one meaningful delivery at a time. That's not just a business goal - it's my purpose now."

This Friday, we're living out this purpose with our very first Community Project morning! We'll be gathering together to create beautiful flower posies and gifting them to people in our community who may be experiencing loneliness.

We're so excited to launch a new initiative close to our hearts! The Community Posy Project brings volunteers together to create small posies for lonely and isolated people in our community.
Our FIRST session is:
📅 Thursday, 7th November at 10am
📍 Flowers for Jane studio, Langwarrin
💐 Just $11 per session (includes flowers, materials & refreshments)
Spend an hour with us creating beautiful flower arrangements, learning simple techniques, and connecting with like-minded neighbours. No experience needed - just bring yourself and a caring heart! ✨
All posies will be delivered to retirement villages, nursing homes, and community members who need a reminder they're thought of.

I remember the days when Flowers for Jane was pumping out nearly 100 orders a day, and we had to cap it.
I worked every hour I could, pushing relentlessly to increase sales in every way possible so I could grow a business to provide for my family.
Then I burnt out, and it felt like my whole world fell apart.
After four years of working smarter, not harder—being guided by my instincts rather than sales numbers—and here I am. I'm leisurely crafting this post because I now schedule my days in a way that works for me, my weeks so I can nourish my soul.
I think you can feel the difference in the flowers (and in me) 🌸
