Hi 👋 I’m Kylie

If you’re new here welcome!
Wedding Dance Diva was born 10 years ago because I saw a need for a change.

Music isn’t the same as it was 20, 30 years ago, but we were still dancing the same way we did back then.
Our grandparents grew up with dancing as part of their social skills. We, on the other hand, dance only when we are 5 tequilas down when we think we’ve ingested a new super power. 🫣🤷🏼‍♀️ (No? Just me?)

Change….
Wedding Dance Diva embraced a style that wouldn’t take months to master. Steps that look beautiful, are easy to learn, and beginners can nail quickly.

Being in an era where everything is captured on phone and shared with the world, I wanted to make wedding dancing cinematically beautiful, and accessible to couples wanting awesome results in as little time possible.

So here we are. Creating something special for you. Instilling confidence in couples with no dance experience, to your favourite song (even if it’s Ed Sheeran for the thousandth time 🫣) in just 3 or 6 lessons! 😮‍💨

Wedding Dance Diva love helping you achieve beyond what you ever imagined for your first dance.

Every time a couple tell us “we can’t dance”, we will respectfully disagree 🫣

We start with walking you through each and every step, right beside you, prompting you every step of the way, until we’ve built your dance.

We practice and polish the finer details so it becomes easier, flows better, and feels more natural, then add those wow moments you weren’t sure you’d manage.

You’ve practiced in your shoes and we’ve filmed you like paparazzi, we’ve talked about how the nerves might effect you, and we’ve got your back up plan in place.

The day comes and you’re ready!
All that’s left to do is enjoy it and celebrate the moment!
Take in the love and excitement in the room when everyone is well impressed at your efforts.

We don’t teach ballroom…. We help everyday couples have the confidence to look and feel good with a spin, dip and lean (and a few steps in between).

We will fully train and support you.
You just need to love LOVE, weddings and be great with beginners.

WE’RE HIRING A WEDDING DANCE DIVA! 💍
For 2027 team!

Wedding Dance Diva is growing! We’re looking for a fun, enthusiastic dancer to join our team at Kallangur & Hendra.

This would suit someone looking for supplemental income or a fun side job, with hours that can work around your existing commitments.

📍 Northsiders only. Brisbane traffic is a menace at the times you’re required.

We’re looking for someone who:

✨ Has a dance and teaching background. Jazz would be a huge bonus
✨ Has a good ear and understands music structure
✨ Is fun, patient, encouraging and loves working with people, can take control when needed
✨ Loves weddings and, most importantly… LOVES LOVE! ❤️

Partner dancing experience is a bonus, not essential. You’ll be fully trained in our simple steps and choreography system. You don’t need to know how to teach wedding dances already & we are NOT ballroom based.

The hours:
Generally 2 days per week, Monday–Friday, with approximately 2–8 hours of teaching per week, depending on your availability and the fluctuations of pre-wedding season.

You commitment:
Peak season starts beginning of Feb through end of May AND Aug though Sept.
We are looking for 2 nights a week for peak, and 1 night a week in between til mid Nov.

We have the clients. We just need another amazing wedding dance diva to help us make sure our couples feel confident, look fantastic and never let our brides-to-be down! 💕

NEW BASIC TUTORIAL Now LIVE!

We’ve been so busy this season we’ve turned couples away 😫
Now you can learn our signature basic first dance moves from home in under 10 minutes!

For those wanting enough moves to get through 1 minute - 2 minutes of their song (slow to medium paced music - 4 beat rhythm) this pocket tutorial will help you succeed.

You’ll learn:
▪️2 different entrances
▪️How to sway in a circle
▪️Basic footwork
▪️Cuddle and spin out
▪️Side lean
▪️Dip
▪️Basic lift
▪️Walk around
You’ll see 2 different combos with different songs as examples of putting it all together.

All in under 10 minutes!
Pause, rewind, replay as often as you need.

Voiceover prompts with tips throughout.
Support via WhatsApp when you send your practice videos to Kylie.
