yesterday we celebrated the life of a humble gentleman, he was a boilermaker who worked at Eveleigh train yards for 50years, he retired but then volunteered to bring back to life the famous 3801 steam train, that had been put into the power house museum, only to be viewed by the museum visitors, this gentleman along with a team of other passionate steam train enthusiasts, brought the 3801 back to life, if they didn’t have the tools, they made them, it was an extraordinary effort which he was awarded an OAM, I like many love hearing the whistle and chugging of a steam train, Thank you Don for bringing back to life this train 🚂 for us to enjoy our heritage. https://youtube.com/shorts/Gf3HCEGYXiE?si=H1YqKg3ONlBEdFXQ

Yesterday ACFY travelled down to Terrara House, near Nowra, for the lavish wedding of Yasmine and James, 150 guests, welcomed firstly the groomsmen and groom and his parents Ingrid and Geoff, with loud applause, then two sleek silver cloud rolls royce’s arrived carrying the brides family, mother of the bride (our neighbourhood queen) Louise along with her gorgeous son Levi, followed by the bridesmaids, then the princess Yasmine and her Dad the always lovely David, gracefully walked down the aisle, which was scattered in white rose petals, to the great cheers of all the guests, it was a heart catching moment for me too, as i’ve known Yas and her family for a great many years, as our neighbours, so when you watch a girl as she’s grown up, to the now beautiful woman about to marry her prince charming it was an emotional moment. Yas has always been a bit of a fashion queen and I couldn’t wait to see her wedding dress, which did not disappoint.

After the ceremony was over James and Yasmines guests were treated to, excellent cocktails and french champagne (which as some of you know I have a particular fondness for bubbles) one sip and I new it was special, accompanied by canapés and freshly shucked oysters, I left with the sun setting on what was a glorious day, one that will live on in the hearts of not only Yas and James but all who were there to witness this wonderful celebration, my love to you Yas and James it was spectacular ❤️👰🤵🥂🍾
