Last night I attended the 2026 Macarthur Business Awards Presentation Evening. A room filled with amazing businesses across all industries and spanning the entire Macarthur Region - covering the Campbelltown, Camden & Wollondilly areas.
Having being notified that I was a Finalist in the Florist category some weeks ago was pretty exciting news. We have so many incredible florists in Macarthur - all with their own signature style but all working incredibly hard to provide beautiful florals across the region.
Soooo much hard work goes into doing the work I love so much - some of which you know of and some maybe you donβt. The ridiculously early 3:30am morning starts to make sure I am at the Sydney Flower Markets at the right time to source the best flowers on offer, establishing and maintaining solid relationships with flower growers that grow the best flowers, prepping and conditioning of all flowers before they even start to form part of a bouquet or floral arrangement, the deliveries across all over Macarthur, the washing of countless dirty buckets, the many hours at my computer spent doing quotes for weddings and events, and keeping somewhat on top of social media - itβs A LOT to juggle for one person!
But itβs all done with gratitude - appreciative of all the support that I get from my customers, my family and friends - every one of them allowing me the opportunity to do what I love so much EVERY SINGLE DAY π
This award means a lot - itβs the recognition of everything that I have mentioned above. It represents that hard work pays off and you should always appreciate the people that have been on the journey with you β€οΈ
THANK YOU to my customers - who choose me over others, who refer their own family and friends and who give me a shout out on social media when someone is looking for a Florist. To my family who give me love and encouragement to continue with my floral passion and who are there through the highs and lows of running a business. And lastly to Macarthur, for allowing βFloral Artistry by Yvonneβ to grow alongside our region and provide a floral experience for all our people that is unique and beautiful - just like the flowers I create πΈππ₯°
