Music Country, Capture the Music

26/09/2026

I wrote 'This Town' during a Year 11 music assignment at Gympie High, where I was asked to explore my identity growing up in my hometown. At the time, I struggled with a lot of self-doubt and didn’t feel particularly inspired by the idea, so I left it until the last minute. When I finally sat down to write, the song came together quickly and naturally, almost like it had been waiting for me. It’s since become one of my favourite songs to perform live. At my debut single launch in Gympie, the entire room at Qube226 clapped along to the tempo, and it’s a moment I know I’ll carry with me forever.
I can't believe 'THIS TOWN' is getting it's on this Sunday night at 6pm!!!

One reel can't even begin to encapsulate how much amazing live music Heart Of Gold International Short Film Festival programmed into the 20 year anniversary this year, we have tried to show some of our favourite moments but there were too many to cram in the 1 minute limit.
Congratulations to the entire team of volunteers, the HOGISFF board and Festival Director on an incredible experience for all. Obviously warm hearted short films are the focus and priority and we loved everything we caught in the sessions that worked for us. Well done on providing an exceptional arts festival experience right here in Music Country!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ at Adelaide Fringe Festival and we're 100% giving the Eddie Ray Lack Of Judgement Day show ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ last night at the Heart Of Gold International Short Film Festival right here in Music Country.
The crowd arrived and took seats so early that the HOGISFF had to run some short film teasers!
This show was phenomenal and unique, it's completely outside the box watching a feature length film with a live original music score being delivered by a full scale band and local choir! The cinematography captures our Australian landscape as good if not better than any big budget film, and the message is deeply current but delivered with laugh out loud humour and a hard not to dance out of your seat sound track.... Honestly a must see!
Congratulations to everyone involved in the making of the Eddie Ray show, and the lucky Gympie audience there last night.
