I’m honestly a bit lost for words with this one… 🥹🔥

Winning #1 Celebrant & MC feels really, really special.

To every couple who trusted me to tell your story, to hold the space, to bring the energy, and to create a ceremony that actually feels like you… thank you.

I never take being part of these moments lightly. Ever.

Karla & Ricky
Married on Double Bay beach, surrounded by their family… a few happy tears, a lot of laughs,
topped off with champagne straight from the bottle and the cheekiest vows for each other.
Honestly, I loved every second of it. Thank you for your beautiful words, it means the world ❤️

Unpopular wedding opinion…you don’t need confetti after your ceremony…

Now I’m a sucker for a big confetti moment, it’s always an incredible way to start the celebrations.

But sometimes it’s just not an option.
And instead of stressing about what you can’t do… we get creative.

These two had a really beautiful bottle waiting for them, so instead of a confetti shot they just popped it, gave it a good swig, and shared their very first married drink.

And I loved it.

It felt relaxed, a little more real and a whole lot of - yeah we just did that!

Now… if you want to absolutely spray it down the aisle? I will 100% hype you up for that too. But these guys didn’t want to waste a drop 😂

But this is your reminder that you don’t have to follow the Pinterest version of an exit.

You just need a moment that feels like you.

I am officially fully booked for 2026.

Truthfully, I’ve been there for a little while...but I’m a complete sucker for weddings.

This year though, I’ve got some pretty big plans bubbling away behind the scenes… and that means I need to properly cap my capacity.

If you’ve already enquired with me recently, don’t worry, your date is absolutely safe.

But as of now, I’m closed for any new 2026 bookings.

I may still open a small number of midweek legals-only ceremonies… but for now, my calendar is full.

And there’s a reason for the cap.

Something new is coming for Sarah Dawes Celebrant… and I genuinely cannot wait to share it with you.

Stay tuned...the first little reveal is very soon.

I always feel a bit lost for words when couples send messages like this.

It’s such a huge thing to be invited into one of the most important moments of someone’s life.

I’m just really grateful to be part of it.

This is the part of my job that never stops meaning something.

To be trusted with your story, your words, and one of the biggest days of your life, that’s a privilege, every single time.

Thank you Sabrina & Kyle for trusting me with your day and for your beautifully kind words 🤍

" Sarah was the celebrant and MC for our wedding this October and I couldn’t be happier to have picked her! Sarah made our ceremony so beautifully romantic, and our reception was so fun and engaging for everyone. Our wedding wouldn’t have been the same with Sarah. I’m so thankful we found her and she was able to officiate our wedding!! Thank you Sarah for all that you did for us!! Our day wouldn’t have been the same without you and we are both eternally grateful!!!

Happy 2026 🥂

2025 was freaking fabulous

It brought growth I’m genuinely proud of. More bookings than I ever imagined when I first started, couples I truly loved working with, and moments that made me stop and realise just how far this little business has come. Being named an ABIA finalist was one of those moments...unexpected, grounding, and incredibly affirming.

It wasn’t perfect, and it wasn’t always easy. Some days were full and demanding, asking more of me than I expected. But even in the busy moments, there was so much joy in creating those never forgotten moments for couples, and a deep sense that I’m truly building something meaningful.

Throughout it all, my husband was my constant. Steady, supportive, and always there behind the scenes making space when I needed it and reminding me to slow down when I forgot (and making me dinner when I worked late). I couldn’t do this without you, and I’m so grateful for you every day.

Looking ahead to 2026, I’m choosing to be intentional.
That means I'll be capping my bookings (and sticking to it this time!)
More time and energy poured into growing Wed & Fed Elopements.
New packages I’ve been quietly dreaming up.
A few side projects I’m incredibly excited to finally bring to life.
So watch this space!

Here’s to celebrating the wins of 2025, big and small.
And here’s to starting 2026 focused, creative, and full of possibility.

Happy 2026 ✨
