What a beautiful day celebrating E & O at Vogelweide Estate in Gundaroo!

Surrounded by the most gorgeous gardens, these two said their I do's with a very special guest stealing the show, their horse Ned who was looking incredibly handsome with a stunning floral display around his neck, he was definitely a highlight of the day!

After the ceremony, we wandered through the estate's beautiful gardens for some photos before heading to the lawns for a relaxed afternoon tea. Such a lovely, personal celebration for these two in a truly beautiful setting!

There is nothing like the garden in spring. Every single day, there is a new flower, or one hundred new flowers, or sudden burst of leaf bud that sets a whole tree aglow. I call it the neon season for the sheer exuberance of the spring colour. Slide three is a little tribute to Blossom who was lost to a fox (along with three other darling chickens) the night after I captured this peaceful moment.

We’ve been a little quiet on here during our own winter hibernation. With almost spring-like weather today, we couldn’t resist a play in the garden, marvelling at the bulbs in bloom, planting out some joyful little plants, and entertaining Henry, our now giant golden retriever puppy! Blissful way to spend a day.

Like night to day, autumn arrived in the Vogelweide Estate garden in what felt like an instant. And with it came the kaleidoscope of colour and faded summer beauty that makes it one of our favourite seasons.
