So keen to get up and play a short original set today with Wil Edgar! We’ve been writing a song together and it’s an absolutely banger! 🎶

This Saturday (6th of September), the ASA Clarence Valley crew are venturing outside of Roches (where our home has been since the start of the year). We're going all the way to the Grafton Racecourse to support the Jacarok Festival! 🎸

It's going to be a great family friendly stage to come and chill at during the event with performances from 12:40pm until 5pm.

You're going to see some cameos, some guest appearances and some collaborations from some local original artists!

This week a new band popped up in my Spotify algorithm. I was impressed with the songs and the fresh sound so I listened to the whole album.

Musically it was great but vocally, something was a little strange, each song sounded like they had a different singer almost. Then after doing a deep dive I found they had no social media presence, hadn’t ever done a live gig, all images were digital illustrations, there were no photos of actual people, they were an AI band, EVERYTHING was created by AI 🤖 Apparently Spotify itself is creating many of these bands cutting costs that they have to pay real musicians.

Will this lead to the extinction of creatives..?

Apart from doing to a live show, AI can do it all!

Support for attending live shows is at an all time low with most music festivals in Australia folding.

I’d love to look into a crystal ball and see how AI has changed the music industry 10 years from now…
