What they said 👇 and it struck a chord.
(Warning: long post ahead. Apparently I write captions exactly how I talk 🤪)
As wedding season settles and autumn wraps up, I’ve been reminiscing on the beautiful couples I had the privilege of working with this season. Reading your reviews never gets old and is genuinely humbling.
As I sit here on admin day and create wedding proposals for my future couples it got me thinking…
People see the flowers (and yes, creativity is a huge part of what I do) but behind every wedding is so much more than pretty blooms.
Every stem is considered. Every colour palette refined. Every timing schedule, bump in, install, candle placement, repurpose, weather check and run sheet planned with intention. There’s definitely no winging it here.
This season has seen a cyclone to tackle, last minute venue changes, redesigned concepts days before weddings, secured urns from wild weather moments right up until a bride walks down the aisle and honestly, being able to adapt to what works best for my couples is one of the most important (and exciting) parts of my job.
When I create proposals, they’re not simply itemised products on a page. They’re the whole picture. The experience. The art. The planning. The problem solving. The ability to create something deeply personal to you.
No two weddings I create are ever the same. There’s no catalogue image to copy and paste from because it hasn’t been done before, it’s yours and that’s my favourite part.
I think that’s where the impact lives. In creating something that feels entirely, unmistakably you. So thanks for trusting me this season, each and every couple I’ve got to know has been a bloomin’ dream, THANK YOU - Jo ✌️
