There’s two things you’ll never see me do as a florist and that is to follow the business advice of “create scarcity” and “scale, scale, scale” to become or be SUCCESSFUL.
Why? Well, because I don’t live for that life. I’m a pretty private person, who likes to live a slow life - one that is surrounded by nature and filled with genuine connection. And I like to carry that through with my floristry…
I created Blumenhaus by Tayla Fay to form connection with my couples and clients. A connection that allows me to be present, have the time and energy to ensure every detail is covered and every moving part is looked after with care.
That’s why you’ll never catch me doing multiple weddings and events in one weekend. Kudos to the one’s that do but here, it’s a no thank you! You, as my couple (or client), deserve someone who takes the time to understand your story, be able to design to that and fulfil your vision.
Yes, I’d love to one day work on a wedding with an amazing team of freelanced florists to help bring this to life (if needed) but I’m not building a business to scale BIGGGGG.
Additionally, when I say I have limited spaces available, it’s not because I want to create this illusion that I’m booked out every week on the calendar and put this fear into you that you need to book now. I say I have limited spaces because I dedicate that whole month to you! YES, the WHOLE month. This allows me to be present with you while remaining present with my family. Life is precious, our stories are precious and it’s about time we give it the time and energy it deserves.
