Writing Jasmine and Joshua’s love story was honestly one of the most beautiful experiences. 🤍

Their relationship is something truly unique, and getting to hear the stories, the journey, the highs, the challenges and everything in between was such a privilege.

There were plenty of laughs… and just as many tears. 🥹 And the best part? They didn’t hold back giving me full permission to share the real, raw and beautiful parts of their story.

Because that’s what I love about being a celebrant. I’m not just writing a ceremony… I’m telling the story of two people, exactly as they are.

“Do we REALLY need a rehearsal?”
Short answer… YES! And here’s why I believe your celebrant should be there.

1️⃣ You’ve invested in capturing your ceremony 📸🎥
You’ve likely spent thousands on photographers and videographers, so why not make sure the ceremony they’re capturing looks smooth, natural and polished? A rehearsal helps everyone know where they’re going, when they’re moving and what’s happening next.

2️⃣ It gives YOU confidence 🤍
Walking through the ceremony before the big day takes away so much uncertainty. You’ll know where to stand, how to walk, where to look, when to move and what to expect. On the day, you can relax and enjoy it rather than wondering, “What do I do now?”

3️⃣ A venue walkthrough is NOT a rehearsal 🚨
This is a big one! Your venue may walk you through where tables, chairs and decorations will go, but that’s very different from actually rehearsing your ceremony. Your celebrant is there to run through the ceremony itself — processional, bridal party positioning, readings, rings, vows, signing and the little transitions that make everything flow.

✨ My job isn’t just to marry you. It’s to make sure you feel prepared, confident and completely looked after from the moment you arrive.

So yes… rehearsal with your celebrant = absolutely worth it! 💍
