What to consider when choosing your event venue ✨
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➡️ Location - is it easy to find, conveniently located, would your dream audience travel here?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➡️ Capacity and size - will fit the number of people attending the event? Is there room to grow? If you have less attendees with the room feel big and awkward.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➡️ Parking - does the venue have free onsite parking? How many cars will fit? Is street parking available?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➡️ Onsite facilities - Check AV options? Will someone help you with AV or is it self managed? Is furniture included?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➡️Ambiance / mood - Does the venue fit your event and branding?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➡️ Catering - Does the venue offer catering or will you have to find outside suppliers.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
➡️ Lighting - Can the light be adjusted/dimmed? It there extra lighting around the stage if you have one or will you have to provide extra?

➡️ Temperature - Can you adjust the temperature in the room? A warm day may require AC or fans and on a cold winter day heaters are always recommended.

Are you considering your attendees basic needs?

When hosting your first event or workshop, it’s so easy to get carried away with floral arrangements, backdrops and getting the right speakers. Sometimes even to the extent that we forget to consider what we call - your event attendees basic needs. 
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can have the most spectacular backdrops and speakers but if your attendees basic needs are not met there is a big chance they leave your event feeling disappointed or frustrated.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So make sure you consider, 
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏼 Comfort (for example seating options available) 
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏼 Temperature (can you adjust with fans or aircon?) 
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏼 Food and drinks (you don’t want hangry guests + always have water available) 
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏼 Visibility (make sure everyone can see entrainment, speakers etc.) 
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏼 Amenities (enough available for the size of the event)

👉🏼 Cleanliness (do you have someone allocated to tidying the space during the event or ins available for the guests)
