We just can’t get enough of this little cowboy and his beautiful mum. 🤎

They are one of our founding Ponies in Paradise families and travel more than an hour to visit us once or twice every month. Watching little ones grow up here at Sweetwater Ranch is one of the greatest privileges of what we do.

At just 18 months old, he is our youngest rider, and he absolutely adores every part of his time here. From feeding and cuddling Velvet and Kira, to visits from Ebony the cat, splashing around in the mud kitchen, climbing on the rocking horse and cow, and of course his favourite place of all… up in the saddle. 🐴

Sometimes Mum enjoys a ride alongside her little cowboy, and other days it’s just him soaking up every moment with our Cowboy Crew.

Today he discovered a brand-new favourite too… our collection of plastic horses, horse floats and little cars, which kept him happily entertained between adventures. Every visit brings a new adventure, and it is so special watching his confidence, curiosity and love of horses continue to grow.

Thank you for making the long drive to be part of our Sweetwater family. We feel incredibly lucky to be a small part of your little cowboy’s journey and can’t wait to watch him grow up with us.

Before the rest of the ranch wakes up, the Sweetwater Ranch Roost is already busy. 🐓🌿

This morning the flock was let out for a good scratch, and they made the most of every second! They explored their new perches in the run (which were a big hit!), spent hours happily scratching through the grass, and completely demolished a fresh bale of straw… exactly as chickens should. 😂

The biggest surprise of the morning? Two beautiful fresh eggs waiting for us! 🥚🥚 There is something so special about collecting eggs from happy, content hens.

We’re also slowly introducing Emerald to her new role as guardian of the flock. She’s learning that these feathered ladies are part of the Sweetwater family and deserve to be watched over with a calm, gentle eye. She’s doing so well already. ❤️

Every day they’re settling in a little more, showing us their personalities, and making the ranch feel even more alive. We can’t wait to share more adventures from the Sweetwater Ranch Roost! 🐔🌾💛

Our very first Tiny Tot Pony Play Date in Paradise is officially in the books… and what a beautiful morning it was. 🤍🐴

Today wasn’t really about the ponies.

It wasn’t even about the babies.

It was about creating a space where parents and carers of little ones could leave the house, breathe in some fresh country air, enjoy a coffee and a chat, and simply slow down for a while.

The babies, all under 12 months old today, watched the ponies with wide eyes, reached out to touch soft noses, explored different textures, bounced on little hobby ponies, played, laughed and soaked up a morning outdoors.

There were no expectations. No pressure. Just connection.

Connection between parents.
Connection between babies.
Connection with gentle animals.
Connection with nature.

This is exactly why we wanted babies under 12 months to attend free. Those early months can sometimes feel isolating, and if we can give families a beautiful place to gather, make friends and create precious memories together, then we’ve achieved exactly what we hoped for.

Thank you to the gorgeous families who trusted us to launch this new chapter with you. We can’t wait to watch this little community grow. 🌿💛

Because sometimes the smallest people create the biggest moments. 🐴👶🤍
