🔥 Come and see these four fine chefs kick off day two at the Queensland Chef of the Year competition this Monday at Food & Hospitality Queensland.
◎ Grant Parry - Chef de Cuisine, Cucina Vivo, Broadbeach
Grant Parry has collaborated with some of the world’s top chefs, including Gordon Ramsay, Peter Gilmore, Colin Fassnidge, and Jock Zonfrillo. He previously oversaw the restaurants at the Royal Pines resort on the Gold Coast and recently joined The Star Gold Coast as Chef de Cuisine of Cucina Vivo. Grant also dedicates time to nurturing future talent as a Chef Mentor at Beenleigh State High School’s leading hospitality program.
◎ Roberto D'anna - Head Chef, The French Table, Cleveland
Roberto D'anna brings 20 years of industry experience to the competition. Since 2014, he has been making a mark in Brisbane, working as Head Chef at Tartufo Restaurant under the mentorship of Tony Percuoco. Roberto is the Queensland Coordinator for Federazione Italiana Cuochi and currently leads the kitchen at The French Table, a charming French restaurant in Cleveland.
◎ Kieren Hanak - Head Chef, Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club, Noosaville
Kieren Hanak, at just 29 years old, has already amassed 16 years of culinary experience. He has honed his skills under renowned chefs like Sam Tapscott, Aaron Rutton, Jeremy Holmes, and Cameron Matthews. Kieren’s goal in this competition is to meet other talented chefs and hopefully take home a prize for his team at the yacht club.
◎ Amber Newitt - Owner Head Chef, Our Famiglia Home Dining, Hope Island
Amber Newitt is the owner and head chef of Our Famiglia Home Dining on Hope Island. She brings a unique touch to her dishes, combining creativity with a deep passion for home-style cooking.
