There didn’t need to be a birthday, Christmas or Easter to make something feel special.

At Nonna’s house, a coffee, lunch or an unexpected visit was reason enough to gather. Every day was a celebration because being together was the occasion.

That’s something I’ve carried with me into Festa Bella. I believe every gathering deserves to feel special, whether it’s a milestone celebration or simply bringing the people you love around the table.

Creating beautiful tables has always been my way of helping turn those moments into something people will remember long after the last plate has been cleared. 🤍

There is something about knowing somebody pictured this moment before it happened.

They thought about where you would stand, what would feel like you and how they wanted you to remember it afterwards.

Not in a big dramatic movie kind of way either.

Just in that very sweet way where you realise somebody cared enough to make an ordinary afternoon feel unforgettable ♡

There was a rhythm to every meal at Nonna’s house.

The women served. The family gathered. Glasses were raised before anyone took a bite. Nobody started until everyone was seated, and once the meal began, the conversations could wait.

Looking back, those little traditions were never really about rules.

They were about making every person around the table feel like they belonged.

The answer is… it can be both.

Our collections are designed to feel beautifully simple to set up yourself, with thoughtful styling details already considered and guidance included to make the process feel easy.

But if your celebration is on the Gold Coast and you would prefer setup support, chat to us. Depending on your package and event, setup options may also be available.

Watching this back made me think about my Nonna in a different way.

As a child, I never thought much about why I loved being at my Nonna’s house. I just knew I always wanted to be there.

The older I get, the more I realise I’ve carried so much of her into my own life. The way she welcomed people, the way she showed her love through food, the way her home always seemed to draw people in... somewhere along the way, those became my values too.

I don’t think I ever decided to carry on those traditions. It just happened.

Maybe that’s what love looks like across generations.

P.S. Before my Italian family comes for me... the salami wasn’t homemade. 😂 It did come from my local Italian grocer, so I’m hoping that earns me a pass.

One of my favourite parts of creating tablescapes is watching people realise they do not actually have to do everything themselves.

The little details, the styling, the setup, the serving pieces, the things that make it all feel special… already handled.

This one was a mermaid picnic for a kids celebration and hearing that guests loved it and everything felt easy is exactly what we hope for.
