I’m an award-winning, vivacious celebrant, and I love creating and performing unique and personalised ceremonies. It’s my absolute privilege to be entrusted with creating a beautiful ceremony for what is, for some people, the most important life milestone they’ve celebrated so far. I feel very lucky and touched that so many couples have put this responsibility in my hands, and I work hard to ensure that the ceremony I design for them is a reflection of who they are, both as individuals and as a couple. It’s very rare these days to see the kind of raw emotion that we see at weddings, and I love it when my couples and their guests laugh and cry their way through my ceremonies!

Spending an hour in the arrangement room at Le Pine Funerals Ferntree Gully before we head to Healesville Cemetery. As I do whenever we have refreshments between a chapel ceremony and leaving for the cemetery, I suggested to Con’s family that we leave him in the chapel instead of wheeling him out to the hearse at the end of the chapel ceremony. I suggested they may not want him to lay in the cold hearse alone for an hour or two; they agreed it was preferable to keep him inside where mourners could visit him for some quiet time if needed.

Today I’m in Berwick at the gorgeous theatre in Beaconhills College for upstagetheatreco’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar. Fascinatingly, two community theatre companies are doing Superstar over the next six weeks, so it will be interesting to compare the productions! This show is one of my top three fave musicals of all time :)

Congratulations Val and Leon, married today at the Golden Castle Function Centre Hampton Park - their Pastor Tala is leading the Samoan religious service while I married them legally. We make a great team!

Congratulations Aiysha and Callum, who came all the way here from England (via Sydney) to get married today in a ceremony at Malvern Gardens! Gorgeous day for my first wedding in three months - it’s lovely to be back!

It’s 2026, so when it comes to farewelling your loved one, there are really no rules. If you want to hold a ceremony on a Sunday, in the middle of the soccer pitch they played at, with giant animal and soccer ball balloons tied to the chairs, you can absolutely do that. There are all sorts of things we can do to reflect your person’s life and loves; we’re only limited by your imagination.

I’m trying to open myself up to new theatre experiences this year, and tonight is one of them - Melbourne Playback’s first Status Quo show. From what I’ve read there’s going to be some panel discussion, some improv, and some storytelling - I’m looking forward to it!
