MUM • the woman behind the name “Sweet Wonderful You.” My business name was always going to reflect a memory.

I grew up with Fleetwood Mac on high rotation on the record player. I remember Mum cutting out patterns & fabric on the lounge room floor listening to ‘You make loving fun,’ the first 3 words, “Sweeeeeeeet wonderful you……” (I know you totally just sang that 😉)

Today would have been her 70th birthday, we have had 18 birthday cakes without her.

Some people like to celebrate their lost loved ones, and some don’t. If you know me, you know I am a ‘let’s celebrate kind of girl.’

So Mum, today is all about you. A day to celebrate you even though you’re not here with us xx

KIDS • I often have families ask whether I think they should bring little ones to the funeral of a loved one. It of course is a very personal decision and you know your child better than anyone else.

However if you ask me, it is usually a yes. It’s a beautiful thing to normalise grief and death. And more often than not, children bring love and light to a service, for those who need it most.

Today I pinched Lucys fluffy, warm blanket off her bed, popped it on the floor of the chapel with some colouring. Then some cute little flower crowned granddaughters coloured side by side for the entire hour, popping their heads up occasionally as they listened to the stories.

It was an opportunity to attach a positive memory to what was a sad day. Their Grandad would have been proud of them x

Having known Jarrad for a good part of 25 years, I was stoked to be asked to officiate he + Mel’s wedding!

With their 2 beautiful kiddlie winks watching on, along with their family and friends it was all kinds of special!

LOVE • let’s start off our Friday right with a lil bit of love 🤍 Last Saturday, Kayla + Karl were finally married (after quite a few attempts) at the amazing Cadella Park.

The ceremony was full of laughs, happy tears (thanks Julie + Shane) and the best part, some good old interjections from Noah, Kayla + Karl’s adorable son (he had impeccable timing!)

I’m so glad that you’re finally husband and wife lovers xx

MOMENTS • these are the moments I live for in your ceremony, the cheeky little stories that make you giggle!

Knowing Nic & Josh for a long time, meant I could throw in a few things from me, but majority comes from your questionnaires!

I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again, the more you give the better your ceremony will be.! Thankfully with Josh’s sharp wit & Nic’s 3500 word essay I had some good stuff to work with!

Sammy was rocking her linen number by and blooms by . They had on hand for the ceremony & love party to keep the dance floor rockin.. (guilty as charged, my feet were sore Friday!)
