You get what you pay for. When you hire someone to do a service for you, you’re paying for the persons expertise, their training and all the education they have paid for to get to where they are today.
You are paying for their experience. You are paying for their calmness and organisational skills.
You are paying them because they are a professional and they don’t cut corners. They are qualified, insured and honest.
They are willing to go the extra mile to make sure their service is impeccable for their client. They are a small business and give 110%
If people keep asking for discounts please remember you should not sell yourself or your business short. If you’re providing a wonderful service in a spectacular way then you deserve a decent pay!
People don’t go into big shops and stores to demand a discount so why should they expect it from a small business?
The service you provide is IMPORTANT! You are worth the amount you charge.
If they want quality it doesn’t come cheap. If they want it cheap it won’t be quality.
You need to value yourself and your business. You work hard to make everything look so good and seem so effortless but that has taken time and that is your experience shining through!
If people don’t want to pay your prices they are not the correct clients for you. Keep moving forwards.
Find your tribe. The ones who appreciate all the things you bring to the table. The ones who WANT to work with you and not continually trying to demoralise you by making you work for a low pay.
Who wants to work with people who keep driving the price down? We all need to earn money to live and survive. Everyone needs to feed their children and keep a roof over their heads. Everyone needs to make a profit. No matter how much you love your job it’s still work. We come to work to earn money.
If they don’t respect the work you put in then, they aren’t the type of client you want in the first place!
Respect yourself and your business. Find your tribe. You want to celebrated for the service you provide which is top notch and your price should reflect that!
Too many women and small businesses are selling themselves short. You deserve to be rewarded for your hard work, years of experience and exceptional service. You deserve to make a profit for the amazing work you do.
