A huge thank you to all the clubs that have registered for the Sportsbet Community Club Sweepstakes on Saturday, 11th July 2026.

We're excited to announce that all 10 club positions have now been filled, with clubs from across our community securing their place for a fantastic day of racing, hospitality, and fundraising at the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club.

💰🏇 Could Your Club Use Some Extra Funding? 🏇💰

The Sportsbet Community Club Sweepstakes is back at the Gawler & Barossa Jockey Club on Saturday, 11th July 2026, and we're looking for 10 community clubs to join us for a fantastic day of racing, food, drinks, and fundraising!

Participating clubs will receive:

🎉 Free entry for club representatives
🍕 Complimentary cocktail food
🍷 Complimentary drink on arrival
🏇 Live racing action all afternoon
💰 A share of $1,000 per race to be won in the Community Club Sweepstakes

How does it work?

Before each race, clubs are randomly allocated a horse. If your horse finishes in the placings, your club wins a share of the $1,000 prize pool for that race.

Last year, participating clubs shared in $9,000 in prize money while enjoying a great day of hospitality and racing.

Whether you're a sporting club, RSL, service club, charity, volunteer organisation, or community group, we'd love to have you involved.

⚠️ Only 10 clubs can participate and places will be allocated on a first in, first served basis.

⚠️ To qualify, a minimum of 8 representatives from your club must attend on the day.

📢 Race Meeting Transfer Notice

Racing SA has advised that the race meeting scheduled for Monday, 8 June 2026, has been transferred from Gawler to Strathalbyn.

Following the wet and heavy conditions experienced at our last meeting, along with 30mm of rain received since raceday and a further 35mm forecast over the coming days, an early decision has been made to relocate the meeting.

For those who have purchased tickets through Moshtix, refunds will be automatically processed back to the card used for payment.

We thank everyone for their understanding and look forward to welcoming you back to Gawler for our next race meeting on Wednesday, 24 June for Wolf Blass Rascal Day.

Racing SA wishes to advise that, following the wet and heavy conditions experienced last week on raceday and with the forecast for the remainder of this week, an early decision has been made to transfer the meeting scheduled for Gawler on Monday, 8th June 2026, to Strathalbyn.
