The blurry wedding party around the wedding couple is definitely a trend but Australia typically has smaller wedding parties, of 4-10 in the wedding crew. So instead of walking across it’s more fun to get the crew to run around the couple (as much as heels allow) but it also makes the photos fun! As all trends it’s not everyone’s thing but this 20 second prompt got laughs & was a lot of fun to shoot!

Chasing that film feel without the film rolls 🎞️✨

Some of the many reasons I added a 35mm-style camera to my wedding kit this season:

There’s something about the feel of this camera, the soft grain, true-to-life colours, and the way it handles light and shadow. It brings a whole new layer to wedding storytelling.

It’s quiet, unfussy, and people barely notice it’s there. Which means I can catch those unfiltered, natural moments without interrupting the flow of the day.

Greens look cinematic. Flash feels fun and fashion-forward. And the black and whites? Clean, emotional, editorial.

I’m still shooting digital, but with this camera in hand, I get images that feel like stills from a memory; layered, nostalgic, and full of character. It’s all about giving couples a mix of the timeless and the real.

Ari & Ben had a pink & red DIY extravaganza at on Sunday. Wanting a big party, from the first time Ari chatted to me about their wedding it was about family & friends, having fun and eating hotdogs before dancing the night away.

They enlisted the help of family & friends to help pull the wedding off with pops of pink and red decor & florals throughout the main room, hot chocolate & cookies after the ceremony, a handmade bar to serve up the drinks, home baked pies for dessert, a cake piñata and even the welcome signage courtesy of Ari’s 6yo nephew.

There was so much love & fu n in the air for Ari & Ben and it was an amazing privilege to capture the day for them.

Big thanks to for sneaking us in on a busy Sunday for a quick photo session at Ari & Ben’s fave date night location!
