From its humble beginnings, the Bowlo has grown to become one of the best bowling associations in the Murray Bowls Division and was declared the “Berrigan Shire Hospitality and Tourism Business of the Year” in 2013. We currently have over 500 members, comprised of 60 bowlers and 467 social members. We are extremely keen for new members to join so that our club can continue to flourish and maintain
its active support of community groups. We provide top class bowling greens that are widely regarded as being of ‘championship' quality, upon which our talented men and women players hone their bowling skills throughout the year. We have loads of bowling equipment for any social member who also wants to come down for a roll on the green. In the warmer seasons we run our ‘Twilight Bowls’ competitions, so keep an eye out for advertised dates and come on down and join in on the fun. Our clubhouse boasts sleek, modern and comfortable amenities to be enjoyed and utilised by all our club and community members (our entire club is wheelchair accessible). These include:
- Fully-stocked club and workies bar;
- Meeting and function rooms (available for hire);
- Catering services (available via booking);
- Industry-standard kitchen facilities for self-catering;
- Outdoor undercover BBQ area (available for hire);
- Free use of bowls equipment;
- Book exchange/library;
- Pool table and dart board;
- Courtesy bus (available Friday nights and special occasions). We strongly believe in the saying ‘charity begins at home’ and within our community, the Bowlo is well-known for its enthusiastic support of various local organisations. Since 2012 we have donated over $110,000 to local groups. We are also a major sponsor of the Finley Football and Netball Club and the Finley Cricket Club.
