Oh wow… what a day, what a ceremony, what a couple, and what a family.

Beautiful Helen and Handsome Thom were married at the stylish Stanley Restaurant at Howard Smith Wharves, escorted down the aisle by their four gorgeous kids, who then helped create the most heartfelt stone‑balancing ceremony. It was tender, joyful, emotional, and overflowing with love in every direction.

There were happy tears everywhere, theirs, mine, their guests, and I was buzzing for days afterward. Some moments stay with you forever, and this one absolutely will.
Congratulations, Team Stellar. I will never forget you ❤️✨

'...Without. Fail. Every guest said that it was the most incredible ceremony they had ever experienced. Just the way the kids were incorporated felt so meaningful and thought through...'. Helen & Thom

💐Friday Musings from a Celebrant. 💐

Love is often described through words.

The heartfelt declarations. The promises. The "I love yous" whispered across kitchen benches, spoken at wedding ceremonies, and shared at the end of long days.

And words matter.

So do the feelings. The butterflies, the excitement, the deep connection that brings two people together.

But love is not just about the words we say or the feelings we feel.

Love is what we do.

It is making your partner a coffee or tea exactly the way they like it.

It is checking in after a difficult day.

It is offering a hand when life feels heavy and celebrating together when life feels good.

It is choosing patience when you're tired, kindness when you're frustrated, and understanding when things don't go to plan.

After nearly two decades of standing beside couples on their wedding day and being in a relationship for nearly three decades, I have learned that the strongest relationships are built not on grand gestures, but on countless small acts of love repeated over time.

Because love is not simply something we feel.

Love is something we practise.

Day after day.

In the ordinary moments.
In the challenging seasons.
In the choice to keep showing up for one another.

And the most beautiful love stories are written through the thousands of small actions that say, I choose you today.
And tomorrow, I'll choose you again.

Because love is not just a noun.
Love is a verb.

Happy Friday. ❤️

Some weddings stay with you forever, and Natasha and Bart's beautiful day at the elegant 'The Little Laneway' is one of them. ❤️

Surrounded by their family and friends, these two officially became husband and wife in a ceremony that was overflowing with love, faith, laughter, and the people who matter most to them.

One of the most special parts of the day was seeing their five gorgeous children play such important roles in the ceremony. From reading a heartfelt poem and prayer, to scattering petals as flower girls and carefully carrying the rings as ring bearers, each child helped create a ceremony that truly reflected the heart of this family.

Thank you, Natasha and Bart, for allowing me to share in such a meaningful chapter of your story. Your love for each other and your children filled every corner of the room, and I know this beautiful family will remain in my heart for years to come. ✨
Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Watson . 🤍

Hi there,
I am always on the lookout for good‑priced, quality celebrant outfits to keep my wardrobe fresh, and JJ’s House is one of my favourite online shops.
At the moment they have some incredibly priced Flower Girl and Junior Bridesmaid/Party dresses on Final Sale for just $14. If you are still searching for outfits for your bridal party or your little ones, it is definitely worth a look.
This is not a paid promotion - I am not getting anything for sharing this, I just thought it was too good not to pass on.
Happy shopping! 💕

When Jihyun and Aaron tied the knot at one of my favourite venues, The Little Laneway in the city, we were treated to something truly special. Aaron’s younger brother, Euan, played the bagpipes and piped his brother and the groomsmen up the aisle, and he was absolutely incredible.
The sound of the bagpipes echoing through The Little Laneway mixed with the atmosphere of the space was pure magic.
Love love love ❤️

Three years ago, these two gorgeous humans were married at the Full Moon Hotel in Sandgate. Unlike today, the sun was out and smiling down on and John as they said their vows.

The traditional three year anniversary gift is leather, symbolising the durability, flexibility and shelter of your marriage. The modern gift is crystal or glass, representing clarity, strength and a bright, sparkling future. 🤍💐🤍🦄🤍

Congratulations, wonderful people. Here is to many more beautiful years ahead.

Love,

Alice and Vini are married! 💐

What a joy it was to stand with two people from two cultures, two very different worlds and yet so clearly made for each other.
Their sons, each bringing their own quiet strength, stood proudly by their side.
Their mothers, one Filipina and one Brazilian, witnessed the moment with so much love in their eyes.
The ceremony was interpreted so everyone could understand, and you could feel the room soften as every word reached every heart.
This wedding is one I will carry with me always.

To Alice and Vini, to your beautiful beginning. 🤍

The Rising Wedding Trend I Am Loving: Stone Balancing Ceremony.

If you have been to a few weddings lately, you have probably seen all sorts of unity rituals like candles, sand, handfasting, you name it. But one that has been quietly gaining popularity (and honestly, I love it) is the rock balancing ceremony (also called rock stacking ceremony or stone stacking ceremony).
It is exactly what it sounds like: the couple stacks rocks together during the ceremony. Simple, yes, but surprisingly meaningful.
There is something grounding about it, literally and symbolically. Each stone represents a part of their relationship: the foundation they have built, the strength they share, the balance they are always working toward. And because no two stacks ever look the same, it becomes this little piece of art that is uniquely theirs.
Usually there is a small table set up with a selection of stones. The celebrant explains the meaning, the couple chooses their stones and together they build a little stack. Sometimes kids or family members add a stone too, which is a lovely way to include them.
The finished stack can go in the garden, on a shelf or anywhere they will see it and remember that moment, the quiet pause in the middle of the ceremony where they literally built something together.
It is simple. It is visual. It is personal. And it is one of those rituals that feels just as beautiful in a backyard wedding as it does on a clifftop or in a chapel.
If you are looking for a unity moment that is not overly formal or fussy, rock balancing ceremony might be the perfect fit.
