Another Saturday, Sunday and Monday means another 3 shoots this weekend gone. Let's start with just a little snippet from Michelles Burclair Miniature Donkeys farm experience on Saturday. Due to privacy reasons I can not show full front facial photos of her little girl so we agreed that bluring said images would make it ok to share. I just had to share this epic sunset once again also that we had just before Winter finished for the year.

Sometimes the best sessions come from the sweetest requests 🐄💛

Jodie had been following along for months, and when she booked a visit to Northview Highlands, she messaged me straight away — "please please could you be my photographer?" How could I say no to that?! 🥹

Monday last week I got to capture THREE generations of her family with the gorgeous Highland cows, curly Valais Blacknose sheep, and cheeky pygmy goats at Northview. Bottle-feeding, cuddling a very patient black Highland, and so many belly laughs in between 🐑✨

This is exactly why I love what I do — these farm sessions aren't just photos, they're memories three generations get to keep together forever.

Meet Tegan, her partner, and their gorgeous 13 year old boy Axel 🐾

Tegan and her partner recently moved to the area and wanted some brand new memories to fill the walls of their new home — and I couldn't think of a better spot than one of my favourite quiet country roads out the back of Fernvale 🌅

Now here's the thing — Tegan will be the first to tell you she HATES having her photo taken. Doesn't even like a selfie, let alone a full session with a camera pointed at her the whole time 😅 But she took a chance and trusted me with it, and by the end of golden hour she was dancing down a dirt road, laughing, and letting Axel steal the show right alongside her.

She loved her gallery so much she grabbed the 10 digital package — and honestly, there were a couple more I just couldn't bear to leave out, so those made their way to her for free too 🎁

If you're someone who feels awkward in front of the camera, who doesn't love how you look in photos, or who just doesn't trust the process — I hear you, and I've got you. This is exactly why I do what I do. Book the session. Trust it. You might just surprise yourself 🤎

Jodie and her two children had what they could only describe as an amazing experience at Highlands Of Vernor a week or two ago. After a couple of date changes and unexpected surgery for Ms Jodie, we finally got to meet up and capture these special moments. I can say Jodie is one dedicated Cow lover braving coming out in the elements a week after surgery to cuddle, feed and interact with these wooly chunkers.

🐾 It's International Dog Day! 🐾

Today's all about celebrating our four-legged best friends, and honestly... I couldn't let it pass without a shoutout to every gorgeous pup who's ever bounded into one of my sessions 🐶💛

I've photographed so many beautiful families over the years, and more often than not, the "family" includes a wagging tail, muddy paws, and a whole lot of personality. Whether it's a farm dog who won't leave dad's side, an old faithful who's been there through everything, or a bouncy puppy stealing the spotlight — they're not "just the dog." They're family. Full stop. 🐕❤️

Some of my absolute favourite photos are the ones where the dog photobombs perfectly, leans into a cuddle, or just does their own gorgeous thing while everyone laughs. Those are the moments I live for.

So today, on International Dog Day, I just want to say — if your fur baby is part of your family, they deserve to be part of your photos too. They grow up (and grow old) just as fast as our kids do, and those in-between moments are worth holding onto. 🐾✨
