Well Christmas 2025 in Tasmania has been interesting! Opportunities to make real ⛄️ ⛄️ on Christmas Day.

With a side of enough wind 💨 to blow us to antarctica 🇦🇶 😅

We awoke to a sparkling white frost on Boxing Day morning ❄️ 😣

Most summer veggies and flowers are not a fan of an 🧊 ice blanket! Sunflowers are no exception.

Some quick early morning irrigation helped lessen the damage😅

But it’s been a wild season! And like everyone else our flowers and veggies behind where they usually are. Who missed their delicious Tasmanian cherries on Christmas Day🙋‍♀️

Today in the ☀️ you can almost hear everything growing in the warmth 🤗! Fingers crossed 🤞 for some more summer to get these beauties in bloom!! 🌻

Sounds of summer evening on the farm! Little Sunny’s 🌻are poking their heads up ⬆️ even with the erratic weather 🌦️ ❄️ sunflower farmer or not I think everyone’s keen to see some summer sunshine! ☀️

Garlic 🧄 harvested ✅
Cows 🐮 eating off excess grass ✅
Cultivation day 😍💪

Couple of weeks later than usual but Jack Frost 🥶 has still been making an appearance😅 fingers crossed for some summer ☀️ now!!

Garlic harvest day 🧄 🤤

The beautiful purple garlic smelled so delicious as we were harvesting it! 👨‍🌾 👩‍🌾

Next it gets air dried so it stores well in the kitchen 🍴

Wyatt has been having an absolute blast growing tomatoes he’s got dad conviced to cultivate him a big patch this year 🙈.

He’s done a super job getting them growing from seeds and he’s stocked up our stall with his extras 🍅🍅🍅🍅🍅

Varieties are:
Plain red tomato’s
Camp joy
Yellow nappa
Black plums
Old molvic

They are just $2 each ☺️
