A delicious box of Autumn goodies I picked for a pre-order over the Easter break 😋

Currently our stall has zucchini’s, eggs, succulents apples (granny’s and pink ladies) and kindling

We are restocked with some delicious spray free goodies 😍

Lots of zucchini’s- great value at $2. There are pale green ones good for hiding in things for extra veggies/bulk and dark green black jacks my favourite for grilling on the bbq.
Who’s hearing lots of zucchini slice! 😋

Beans 🫘 green, purple, yellow and scarlet runner beans. $3 a bag

Apples 🍎 🍏 Granny Smith and Coxs and they are big this year! 50c each

Succulents $2 🪴

Yummy fresh free range eggs 🥚 $5 for 1/2 doz

And some kindling 🙈 (I’ve got some mad keen wood cutters who want to flex 💪 their chopping skills 🪓 please help me indulge them! 😂)

We aren’t a bad 🏃‍♀️ or 🚲 from Exeter🙂 and we are always happy to fix some pre-orders so you aren’t missing out when you get here!

Happy cows 🐂 enjoying a strip of the sunflower paddock that has finished 😀.

Sunflowers 🌻 are awesome because there is no waste ♻️ not only are they beautiful the are totally edible 🍽️too! In return the cows are adding some fertiliser back to the paddock for next year 😆

Not to fear we still have lots more more flowers in the top half of the paddock.

Well this made me smile ❤️. The sunflowers are opening slowly and there are some lovely patches in the paddock! 🌻

🌻🌻Sunflower update. 🌻 🌻

It’s been a while since I’ve made a sunflower post and that’s largely because the season has thrown us so many curve balls.

Sadly overnight temps have not been friendly to our sunflowers our coloured flowers have suffered the most and have completely failed 😞

Our big paddock of yellow flowers is patchy. Where the soil has been warmer on the bank they are better, but they are still weeks behind where they should be. To put it into perspective we were doing roadside sales on the Australia Day weekend and this year, the flowers are only starting to bud up. 😅

Unfortunately we have made the tough desicion not to open up our paddock for pick your own this year as it’s just not going to be the experience we want to deliver for everyone 😢

Farming is a game of endless optimism in the face of adversity. 💪 If the good patches in the big paddock flower well, we may have some flowers to cut and sell in the coming weeks but only if they are of good quality🙌🏻

If not our cows 🐮 will get an early treat and get to eat them fresh instead of as silage!

As a family we want to thank everyone for their kindness and support! We have really enjoyed hosting you on our little farm and we are disappointed we cant make it happen this year.
