Our Venus Protea are starting to bloom, and you will see them in some of our bouquets at Petal the Flower Cart from today. Venus had a rather late documented discovery in the 1920’s. It originated in the high, rugged mountains of the western Swartberg in South Africa, growing on ledges of inaccessible cliffs and rocky sandstone slopes at an altitude of 750–2,000 metres. Its conservation status is now ‘Vulnerable’ with an estimated remaining wild population or around 6,000 plants. Venus is a large bloom, and we think it is beautiful.

Dear Customers,
For 3 years we have kept our bouquet price at a very low $10 as we believe that everyone should be able to afford to have the beauty of flowers in their homes, and to give to their loved ones. We are sad to advise that rising costs across our farm base have made this unachievable.

As of June 3rd, our price will be increasing to $15 per bunch.

We hope you continue to enjoy the beauty of our fresh, local, beautiful flowers.

Our Kindy Children have been busy picking out the perfect stems to add to their hand made Mothers Day gifts. Thank you once again to Sugarbloom Farm for this beautiful flora. Sugarblooms Petal cart is stocked with some stunning bouquets on Whalers road and they are also at Victor CWA today and Tomorrow. 💐

ANZAC week on farm is always busy as more varieties of flowers come into harvest. Petal the Flower Cart will be open as usual - Wednesday to Sunday including ANZAC Day. If you need last minute fresh beautiful and very affordable flowers for an ANZAC commemoration or any other event, just drop by - we are on Whalers Road Encounter Bay. Our Victor Harbor Pop Up Shop is closed all week and will reopen after ANZAC Week. During these uncertain times with war in many places, we are still lucky to be here in a wonderful and safe part of the world. Lest we Forget.

We are at the CWA Building again this Friday 27th March and Saturday 28th March with our usual $15 bunches.....however..... this week we had a couple of early blooms of some very colourful protea that are moving toward harvest time. We decided to do something quite different with them. We have made one eye-catching and massive ‘Super-Bunch’ which is for sale at the CWA Building over Friday and Saturday. If you have a very special occasion and need something truly magical in hurry, or even if you just really, really, really like Protea this ‘Super-Bunch’ might just be for you! Like all our bunches it is very fresh and will last many weeks. It is half a metre tall, consisting of 2 x Protea Pink Kings; 1 x Protea Southern Cross (a cross between a Protea Magnifica and a Protea Obtusifolia); 1 X Protea Susara; 2 x Protea Donna; and 1 x Protea Christine (a cross between a Protea Compacta and a Protea Nerifolia). These blooms are set off by Leucadendron Burgundy Sunset; Purple Statice and White Statice; Hill Daisy and Tea Tree. Great value at $95 – you might pay at least double that elsewhere and it very likely wouldn’t be anything like as fresh. We also have a heap of Pink King Bunches - mainly $15 and some larger ones at $20

We are at the CWA Building again...... Friday 13th March and Saturday 14th in the morning. We have a small number of King bunches available for $15 and we have a double King bunch for $20. Photos are of some of the bunches.
