2025 - What a ride for us all – me included. So many, both young and old have commented to me, how fast this year has disappeared.
The world has so many more ways of filling our life with and ‘stuff’ that there just doesn’t seem enough time for the simple and peaceful bits. I am no expert, that’s for sure, we all have to figure what stuff to keep, and what to say ‘stuff it’ too 😊; and I am learning, sometimes quickly, and sometimes slowly.
Welcome to your Card, and My 2025 Wrap up!!!
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year and may 2026 brings us everything we hope for, whatever that may be for you. For me, it is gentleness, kindness, calmness, , and a slower pace of life; so, I can enjoy and continue to be grateful for everything and for everyone who surrounds me, even if they are not physically where I am right now.
Much of my year has been dedicated to improving my way of life and managing my auto-immune condition, through , exercise, 2 surgeries, planning for the future, (which including our home and envisaging how our next few years will look), as well as having some wonderful along the way.
Quality time spent with Darren and Brixx in Hervey Bay, Brisbane (Darren and I took a quick break here with no Brixx 😊), the Sunshine Coast and Bargara, as well as my midyear trip to Adelaide, which not only shared in my friends and family’s future plans, but a whole lot of after the first surgery. It was here that I shared a trip to Waikerie with my Mum and brother, going back in time and giving my very first puppo his final resting place, as well as driving back through to share in my dearest friend’s new adventure. I was also able to catch up again with my 2 best friends of some eek, 40 odd years, and share in some truly lovely with them as well.
Darren & I have also been busy with our respective businesses as well as home renos (mainly painting lol) and many, many breakdowns (most of which have hit us in the last quarter of the year), I know we are not alone here, we feel your pain $$$$%$$$$$.
Weddings this year have been beautiful as always, but I have been so lucky to have shared the days of so many clients referred from family members whose weddings I officiated at; some from many years ago as well as an awesome . Thank you all so very much for making it a perfect year by having me as your celebrant. I now have everything in place for my 2026 to Weddings on the Run – Elope with the Travelling Celebrant, I am all organised and cannot wait to share it with you all.
has spent the last year on a bullet train, he has so much energy +++++ he loves water, the beach, the park, fetching, playing with new friends, play dates, toys, food, car rides, and holidays and I am always running out of ideas to keep him entertained (bring on the ‘3’s, he is now 2 years and 4 months).
In case you are wondering about the photo of the baby birds in the nest – well, we became parents in spring 😉 as the nest was just outside my office window. Through the days we watched them from tiny featherless chicks until they vacated the nest – ahhh we are now ……..
Until next year, my love to you all and may 2026 bring you the best of life, love and friendship xx.
PS – My social media presence has been pretty non-existent, so I hope this catches you all up and excited for the future as we are xx.
P.S. - No Edits, just how the photos happened, photoshoot yesterday 😂🤣.
P.S.S. - My heart is reaching out towards those who suffered the worst of tragedies last night at , may healing be strong around you all xx 💗💗
