When I started doing florals I worried about the green foam we used.
Since then I became interested in the sustainability aspect of floristry.
When Sustainable Floristry Network created a certification, I was onboard, so that I could make my florals as sustainable as possible.
Education is key to change in any industry.
As much as we love roses most people don’t realise that they can have the biggest carbon footprint of all the flowers.
I am proud to be a member of the Sustainable Floristry Network even if I’m a tiny fish in a big pond, I know I’m doing my part towards change in this industry.
