🌟 CONGRATULATIONS CHELSIE! 🌟

We are incredibly proud to announce that Chelsie Lyons has been nominated for the prestigious Youth Surf Lifesaver of the Year award at the state level! 🏆 This massive achievement comes after winning the Lower North Coast Youth Lifesaver of the Year award in July. [1, 2, 3, 4]

Chelsie’s lifesaving journey started right here with the Palms Nippers. After gaining her Surf Rescue Certificate (SRC), she continued giving back to the club by providing vital water safety for our younger nippers. 🌊 [1]

Last season, Chelsie took a massive step forward. She joined her first patrol team and successfully earned her Bronze Medallion (BM) at the end of the season. 🛟

It has been amazing to watch her confidence and leadership skills grow alongside her ability to keep the public safe on our beaches.

Please join us in celebrating Chelsie, honoring her branch victory, and wishing her the absolute best of luck at the state level! You've got this, Chelsie! 👏👏

Also watch your pet dogs, as hard as it is, try and keep them on a lead whilst at the.beach, as we know they will sniff and be dogs with the sick birds on the beach.

// Bird Flu Alert for Beachgoers

NSW authorities are responding to a suspected positive case of H5 bird flu in a wild seabird found near Hawks Nest. While the risk to humans is very low, the disease could severely impact native birds and commercial poultry. Members are urged to avoid contact with any sick or dead birds on the beach or in the water.

If you see sick or dead wildlife:

🚨New at Pacific Palms SLSC: We a just installed a Shark Bite Trauma Kit on the beachside exterior wall of the clubhouse, alongside our defibrillator - as part of a rollout of 129 kits to surf clubs across NSW. It is located, beachside to the right of the main entrance to the club and beside the yellow door🚪In an emergency, members of the public can use it to help apply emergency first aid while waiting for first responders. You don’t need to be a lifesaver.
Next time you’re down at Elizabeth beach, take 2 minutes to find the kit and scan the QR code to watch the how-to video. Hopefully you’ll never need it - but it’s important to know ❤️

A little later than planned, but after a very busy Easter season, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what a fantastic day the Rock2Rock Sea Swim was! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️
Despite some wild weather the day before, Sunday delivered and we were treated to a beautiful day on the water for this year’s Rock2Rock.
A huge thank you to our major sponsor Pacific Palms Real Estate for their valued support in helping make this event possible 🙏
While competitor numbers were down slightly on last year, attendance was strong given recent weather impacts and rising fuel costs, and the atmosphere on the beach proved this event remains a much-loved part of our community calendar💪
Thank you to every competitor who took on the challenge, every volunteer and water safety crew member, the public who came down to support, and the many people behind the scenes who made the day run smoothly.
We were also incredibly grateful for the support of our fellow clubs Cape Hawke Surf Life Saving Club, Forster Surf Life Saving Club and Macmasters Beach Surf Life Saving Club. Your assistance and camaraderie mean so much.

Join us for a beautiful Easter-weekend crystal-clear beach framed by our two iconic headlands at Elizabeth Beach.
A long-standing event on the NSW ocean swims calendar that attracts over 300 competitors. Proudly ran by Pacific Palms Surf Life Saving Club and sponsored by Pacific Palms Real Estate.
Please note: Entry is open to all competent swimmers from age 10 upwards and is $30 for the 600m swim, $45 for the 1.5km swim or $70 for both swims - this includes race entry and a swim cap. Entries will close at 3pm 4th April 2026. Entries on the day will incur a late entry fee!
