My name is Cassandra, and on THIS wedding day the bride was also named Cassandra! Bowen and Cassie made a quirky decision to choose me as their celebrant (and maybe slightly confuse their guests) 🤣
Their unique ceremony was held on the Lakeside Lawn at Gledswood Homestead & Winery … in a position that I haven’t seen before. The arbour was placed directly perpendicular to the rear of the cellar door, which meant their guests looked over the paddocks with the spring lambs! Wide blue skies were important for the feel of their wedding day, and that’s what they had. A beaming sun meant the paper parasols that I brought along with me, provided guests with some welcome shade ☀️
As we began their ceremony, I introduced the ‘warming of the wedding rings’ 💍 by asking their first two rows of family to momentarily hold the ring box and infuse it with good wishes and blessings for the newlyweds. After exchanging their short n sweet personal vows, those ‘warmed’ wedding rings were slipped on, the legal vows were spoken… and we had them happily hitched and ready to exit the aisle under a mass of dreamy bubbles 🫧
They cheered with their guests, who then relaxed at the Cellar Door, ahead of the celebration in the Cask Room. Bowen and Cassie encouraged their guests to connect with each other by placing card games on each table. A little bit of healthy competition is a great way to keep your guests entertained!! ♣️
