Small business bakers, we are doing the best we can!! ☺️

$9.50 for a block of butter… what?! 😳
I was wandering through Woolworths this week when I spotted this and couldn’t help but stop.
Back in 2019, a 500g block of Western Star Butter was around $4.50!
Today? $9.50
That’s a 111% increase😱
And this isn’t just any butter to us.
This is the very butter that goes into every single batch of our famous sugar cookies. The same recipe we’ve been using for years 🧈✨
What many people don’t realise is that butter is just one ingredient.
Since 2019 we’ve also seen increases in:
• Eggs 🥚
• Flour 🌾
• Chocolate 🍫
• Cream 🥛
• Packaging 📦
• Electricity ⚡
• Fuel ⛽
Yet despite all of that, our cookie prices have remained unchanged since 2019.
Until July this year😥
Not because we wanted to.
Not because we’re chasing bigger profits.
But because there comes a point where absorbing every increase simply isn’t sustainable.
As a small business, we work incredibly hard to keep our prices as affordable as possible while still delivering the quality you’ve come to know and love🫶🏻
So if you’ve noticed a small price adjustment recently, I hope this gives a little insight into why💕
And to every customer who continues to support our little business despite the rising cost of living, thank you💖
Your orders, recommendations and loyalty mean more than you’ll ever know. 🥹

Congratulations to Australian Christian College Singleton for hosting another successful Biggest Morning Tea today!
