As Christmas approaches and a new year is about to begin, I reflect on all the beautiful families that have lost loved ones this year. This is the time of year that is the hardest to face now there is an empty space at the table. However, it is also the time to keep memories alive for they are with you still and always will be. I know you will shed a tear as you miss them as things are not same without thm. But also remember the smiles they shared, the Christmas stories of weird gifts they gave or didn’t- raise a glass of their favourite to them and remember the joy you shared in the living years. Celebrate how lucky you were to have them in your lives. Their love is all around you, it’s their gift to you this Christmas, embrace it, feel it. 🎁 ♥️

A beautiful setting to scatter JM’s ashes. Close friends and family gathered to say their final farewell. Heartfelt tributes and memories shared amongst the tears and yes laughter as we remembered this beautiful man. He meant so much to his family and friends and it was a privilege to hold the space for them and to share for those that were unable to do so on this emotional and special day.

As begin another year, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to the wonderful families who entrusted me with the honor of farewelling their loved ones. It has been a privilege to stand by you during such tender times and to help create meaningful, heartfelt ceremonies that reflect the love and memories shared. Knowing I could bring a little comfort on such difficult days truly humbles me.

To my beautiful couples who tied the knot this year, I hope your first Christmas as a married couple was filled with love, laughter, and new traditions. May each one that follows bring even more joy and happiness to your lives together.

Being a celebrant is so much more than just words on a page. It’s about connecting, caring, and creating moments that will stay in the hearts of those I serve. I feel so blessed to do what I do—whether it’s helping a family through their grief or making a joyful day unforgettable for my couples.

Thank you all for allowing me to be part of your lives in such meaningful ways. Here’s to the memories we’ve shared, the moments we’ve celebrated, and the love that continues to surround us all.

Hi Trish. We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the beautiful and professional service you did yesterday for our mum and Arthurs wife. It was absolutely perfect. All the chats and preparation beforehand and even your incidental comments during the service after picking up things that were said - they were so sincere and heartfelt. And then at the burial - managing everything for us. It was such a relief to know you were overseeing it all and something we did not have to worry at all about. Dear Trish

Thank you so much for all you have done for us and for Robert. I know you really put your heart into the farewell for Robert that we all created together. You truly have a gift for what you do and you went way beyond anything that I even dared to hope for.

I feel, fittingly, you were that warm presence of a mother that he missed so sorely in his life. Nobody could have filled that space yesterday better than you. He was, we were so lucky.

I especially appreciated how you presented each of the family tributes with warmth and love, bringing their words to joyful life in a truly heart-felt way.

I loved the personal touches you brought, it was clear to everyone yesterday that you had seen the true essence of this man and that clearly he had had an impact upon you as well.

Thank you too for your loving support to John and Celeste, as well as to me. It was tangible and true. You wrapped up all of us there yesterday in a bond of love and happy memories and it was a fitting way for Robert to spend his last moments with us.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Remembering Heather my friend who we lost this time last year 💔😢

A few weeks ago I heard the sad news of a Heather’s passing. She was just about to celebrate her 60th birthday instead we were saying farewell at her service. Although I hadn’t seen her for a few years I was devastated to hear that she was gone so soon. Heather and I worked together for several years. We were also friends. We had weekends away with groups of girls, celebrated at work functions, I attended her wedding I celebrated with her at her 40th birthday. Caroline and I spent time with her just before the birth of her first born. I ate her amazing spring rolls that she was famous for, memories I have treasured and always will.

Heather was an amazing girl, beautiful inside and out she was spiritual. She had the most amazing healing hands when it came to massage.  she was funny. She was smart, and I wished I kept in touch more often. However, lives change we get busy doing other things, but I was often reminded of her when I heard a song that reminded me of her or the little card she gave me one birthday with my name on it, and what my name meant. Heather was thoughtful and caring loved her kids, her dogs her friends. You’re greatly missed Heather . Rest in peace lovely. I was glad to be your friend.💔🌸

As I finish writing a service for tomorrow I am listening to the sweet song of a blackbird singing outside my study window. I never tire of hearing this sound and welcome it back in spring each year.💜😊

I had the privilege of leading the ceremony to celebrate a wonderful lady who had reached the grand age of 96 a positive, caring and thoughtful person. The family wanted to celebrate her long and happy life and for it to as joyous as the lady was that we were honouring. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than achieving a positive outcome for the family.

Hi Trish, having had time to reflect on our Mother’s service, I can only thank you again for the wonderful job you did in leading us in the celebration of mum‘s life. Not only did you take the time to get a real understanding of mum and her character, but your thoughts and suggestions added further dimension to the day. I’m not sure if you can say you had a fabulous day at your mother‘s funeral, but I had a fabulous day, I was still in a high when I went to bed! You do a fantastic job in your role and we are really grateful to have been introduced to you thanks and best wishes.
