Swipe through for everything you need to know before you come down — where to park, the best spots to watch, and where to grab dinner first. 👉

🅿 Parking — West and East Car Parks on Level 1. Go for the East Car Park; it’s our largest and easiest for getting in and out.
👀 Viewing — Catch the Star from the Level 1 concourse, the Waterfront Way pedestrian access, or over dinner at Urban Alley Brewery.
🍜 Dining — Make a night of it. With 40+ food and dining spots across the precinct — from Dohtonbori AU and Seoul Garden BBQ Australia to Krabby's Crab Boil, Bright Palace and Urban Alley — dinner’s sorted before the lights go on.
🚊 Getting here — We’re in the Free Tram Zone. Hop on route 70, 86 or the 36 City Circle to Waterfront City.
🐾 A note for pet parents — The District loves your furry friends, but there’ll be a short display of fireworks tonight, so best to leave them at home for this one.

After nearly five years dark, the Melbourne Star is about to light up the Docklands sky again. ✨ And you’re invited to watch it happen — a free thing to do in Melbourne this Thursday night.

On Thursday 30 July, one of Melbourne’s most iconic landmarks switches its lights back on — live at The District Docklands. Expect fireworks and the Star’s first full-lighting animation sequence in years. 🎆
