Frosty mornings at Yarra Valley Estate ❄️

Winter has definitely arrived. The chapel, the paddocks, even the cows were all dusted with a crisp layer of frost this week.

There’s something pretty special about watching the sun rise over a frozen landscape. Peaceful. Still. A reminder to slow down.

Whether you’re here for a wedding, a midweek stay, or a wander through the Edible Forest, this season has its own kind of magic.

Our gardening team has been busy working on the wetlands while water levels are low — adding logs and branches to create shelter for frogs, birds and other native wildlife. It’s all part of our commitment to caring for the land we’re on. 🌿

Guests staying at Yarra Valley Estate can also get involved, helping to plant the wetlands as part of our seasonal programs.

And yes, it also happens to be a stunning location for photoshoots and unique wedding photography.

The absolute best day of our lives!
The venue is sooo stunning — our non-negotiables for booking a wedding venue were to be out in nature and to have accommodation on site. The venue itself was incredible but would be absolutely nothing without their incredible staff.
Maya was an absolute DREAM to work with. We thank our lucky stars that we were lucky enough to have her as our coordinator. Cannot fault anything of her work — her recommendations, her communication and just her overall vibe. Nothing was off limits and whatever idea we had, she ran with and made it even better. We just adored her, and our day is a testament to her.
All of the staff on the day were absolutely unreal. The service was incredible and the pizzas!!! Omg the pizzas were DELICIOUS. Best decision ever to go with a cocktail setup and pizzas. We had so many people say how much they loved what we did — it made them rethink their own upcoming weddings.
We also had our dog there on the day who was happily roaming on his own for a good hour when we realised no one was watching him (oops) — but it was so cute to hear he was greeting all the guests living his best life. Incredibly dog-friendly place — I think he also had the best day of his life.
Incredibly grateful to the entire YVE team. We couldn’t have imagined a better day. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
