Look at this beauty 👀💚Iceplant straight from our front garden! 🌱✨
We planted it during Crikey’s workshop, and it’s thriving.
Here’s the plants info straight from website ….
Mesembryanthemum crystallinum (Ice Plant)
This sexy looking succulent collects minerals and beneficial salts and electrolytes from the soil and stores it in its leaves resembling water drops or ice. Originating from South Africa but naturalized in Australia long before captain cook showed up. Ice plant is not only great looking but super good for you too. salty and slightly tangy with a cucumber like texture can be a highlight in salads, Pizzas, pastas stir-frys. pickles, curry’s and so on.
Great for adrenal function, metabolism, cures constipation and aids good gut health. it is also great for your skin with healing property’s for wounds and burns and protects against harsh uv rays when used topically I put it in just about everything i cook, it features in all out tucker boxes. 🌱
